NEW ORLEANS -- Pelicans All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins will undergo surgery to repair a torn left Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the season, league sources told ESPN.
An MRI late Friday night confirmed an initial diagnosis of a full tear of the tendon, league sources said.

has there ever been a player who put up good numbers like Cousins and has never made the playoffs?
I can only think of Shareef Abdur Rahim but I think he had one season towards the end of his career where he was on a bench player on a playoff team....
