Hawaii / Santa Barbara on 2/1/18 -- ESPN, Maddux, etc all had the 36 to 30 half time score reversed ...

So the Game is about a 6.5 spread game with Santa Barbara the Home Favorite ...

and with Santa Barbara up 6 at half the 2nd half spread should have been about Santa Barbara minus 2, so about minus 8 for the game ...

Instead Santa Barbara was minus 6 -- with the misleading information that this home favorite was actually down by 6 at half.

The 6 is a near impossible number as anything between 5.5 and 6.5 is a tie game -- But that would only be the case if Santa Barbara was down 6 at half and giving 6 in teh 2nd half.

Santa Barbara was not -- They were up 6.

So this made teh line 12 for the game.

Really???

I'm going to call BS now.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

The Books would not have set a line at 6 if they thought Santa Barbara was down by 6 -- they would not have set a tie.

and if a 6.5 point fav is up by 6 at half the 2nd half line is NEVER minus 6 ... try minus 2.

So it's apparent the books were aware of the BS information being disseminated as to the half time score and trying to fool people and make money on it.

Worse, there's no way I'm aware of to get a live video feed of the game -- so you're working off of some websites that are giving the wrong score.

It appears whoever is in charge of giving the scores to ESPN, etc., etc., was incorrect, but also working with the books to make them some money.

OR they made a mistake, the books saw it and acted to capitalize on it.

has anyone ever seen anything like this before.

And did anyone notice this tonight?

The line Opened at 6 for the 2nd half, and never moved ... at 6, the impossible line if Santa Barbara is down by 6, and not close to what the line would be if they were up by 6 (as they were):

I didn’t catch it.. but these things happen. I’ve seen UNC +17 before when it should have been UNC -17 and they cancelled everybody’s bet when they corrected the mistake. Have never personally seen it for 2H though.

The POINT is it cannot be a mistake by the books:

1. If they had the score wrong like every halftime service they would not have set the game at Santa Barbara minus 6 for a 2nd half tie.

2. IF they had the score right there's no way a 6.5 point favorite would be up 6 at half and minus 6 for the 2nd half too (so now minus 12 for the game) unless maybe the other team died, literally passed away, in the first half, and not even then.

SO THE BOOKS HAD TO BE IN ON THE FIX -- EITHER THEY ORCHESTRATED THE INCORRECT SCORE TO INITIATE THE FRAUD, OR JUST REACTED TO THE INCORRECT SCORE WITH A BS LINE THAT MADE NO SENSE.

What do you think about that Mjeecay?

I've never seen anything like this before.

BUT IN THE SAME MATCHUP 2 1/2 WEEKS AGO -- HAWAII / SANTA BARBARA THERE APPEARED AN OBVIOUS FIX BY THE REFEREES TO MAKE VEGAS MONEY -- A FIX THEY WERE STILL TALKING ABOUT ON HAWAII RADIO LAST WEEKEND -- I WISH I WASN'T DRIVING AND WAS STREAMING LAST NIGHT'S GAME ON HAWAII RADIO AND I OBVIOUSLY WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE PLUS 6 FOR HAWAII, SO PLUS 12 FOR THE GAME.

Here's what happened last time:

Did you see this game? I only had a radio feed of it, but the Hawaii announcers seemed clear that Vegas was very interested in the line moving from 1 to 3 on the game, and then the favorite unusually won, but failed to cover, which makes Vegas the most money in 90 percent of the games -- just like this one.

in the last 43 seconds several strange things happened according to the announcers, ending with a shot after the buzzer (according to them) which the referees counted anyway. The radio Hawaii announcers started talking heavily about the Vegas line and those implications with a few minutes to go. Did you actually see the game? (on TV or there?) There was no feed for it on the usual streaming sites, so I only had radio from the school ...

Phantom foul with 43 seconds left gives SB 3 free throws ... Foul with 8 seconds left was an intentional elbow to the face and should have been intentional for 2 shots and the ball back ... then check out the 3 pointer with no time ... announcers indicated it was after time expired, "didn't matter", but the refs counted it anyway -- fav. wins, but failed to cover after the line moved from 1 to 3 points -- Vegas cleans up

There were a few other odd things I cannot remember, but these ones stood out and are documented to some extent in the ESPN play by play:

    0:43 Foul on Sheriff Drammeh. 65 - 72

    0:43 Max Heidegger made Free Throw. 66 - 72

Oh, and I also just noticed what the play by play from ESPN fails to indicate, which was by the radio announcers, was that on that final shot at the buzzer, there was actually another final shot at the buzzer for 3 by Heidegger, who was blocked by a Hawaii player, and then the ball bounced around between Heidegger and the block apparently out of bounds or nearly out of bounds, but then it somehow wound up in the hands of a SB player maybe out of bounds, definitely deep in the corner, barely visable to the radio announcers ... It definitely wasn't passed to him deep in the corner, just a block of Heidegger who did not seem to be near the corner.

Then, per the announcers, the last shot was after double zeros, but counted by the refs anyway.

As I say, the announcers began openly speaking heavily about Vegas and the Vegas line very close to the end, and seemed to be concerned that a fix with the officials calls might even change the outcome of the game at the end. They were happy when at least 1 of 2 freethrows were hit with 8 seconds to go after there should have been an intentional above the shoulders call made (but there was not so Hawaii did not get the ball in addition to the 2 free throws). Maybe they were just homers for Hawaii, but seemed pretty certain about the intentional foul. When the first free throws were made they said they bet the refs were happy about that as it sealed the Hawaii win so that the refs were "off the hook" for their bad calls, especially the intentional, at least as it pertained to who was going to win the game ....

And then the block of Heidegger by Hawaii which normally shows up in the ESPN play by play ... but did not above for some reason.

And then somehow a shot after the buzzer cut the margin to the original opening line of 1, whereas the public had apparently bet the game up to 3.

    Interesting game.
