According to Bleacher Report, these ten teams have the best chance to win the national
title. BR list them from 1-10 in order of teams they like best.

1. Alabama - enormous supply of talent waiting for a chance.
2. Clemson - defense wins championships and this defense is strong.
3. Georgia - dawgs ain't going away anytime soon.
4. Ohio St. - another team loaded on defense. breaking in a new QB.
5. Auburn - majority of 2-deep on defense return. four new offensive linemen.
6. Washington - terrific offensive line. tough schedule with Auburn opener.
7. Oklahoma - good offensive skill players. new starters all over the defense.
8. Wisconsin - nine starters back on offense. need good play from QB.
9. Michigan St. - nine starters back on defense. four starters back on O-line.
10. Michigan - lot's of talent returning. need a QB and Shea Patterson (Ole Miss)
eligibility still hasn't been cleared by NCAA.

*I agree with the top four making the final four but I wouldn't count Michigan
out if Patterson is cleared to play. He would make a huge difference for an offense
that needs good QB play.

*Auburn at number five seems a bit high.

even if they lose week 1 at FSU i think Va Tech can be a factor. only other road games are Old Dominion, Duke, Pitt, and UNC. i could see them making a big run at it like Miami did this year except they play 4 of their final 5 games at home. Be pretty funny if Pitt upends them at home like they did Miami :)

anyway, VT or Miami gotta be in the conversation

agree on texas as a potential sleeper. okie st, tcu, okie all down a notch so tex should close the gap

Agree the Horns should improve after losing 6 games during 2017. However, even with the best recruiting class
in many years, there's still some problems to solve before any really big turnaround. Texas has to find a QB who
can win games and improve an offensive line that game up a whopping 34 sacks last year. The Horns lost some
key defensive veterans and will have just five starters returning. I'm guessing 2019 will be the year Texas starts to
dominate like they once did. Herman has the Horns going in the right direction, especially with recruiting where he
signed 6 of the top 7 prospect in Texas. Just my take for what it's worth..............

If I remember correctly...I believe somewhere around 18th. FSU has some serious
defensive issues. Should be good on offense though.

Men, don't discount Michigan if they can get the Ole Miss quarterback.

Jimmy has a screw loose in my opinion but he has a good team coming back
if he get's a quarterback who can throw the ball like Patterson...look out.

Just saying............................

Because Harbaugh added the offensive mastermind Jim McElwain to his staff??

Coach: I've been following Gator football seriously for close to 50 years and I've never seen an offensive drought such as was generated during the McElwain era.

I can appreciate your bitterness and dismay. We both know many Gator fans who feel the same way.......
