The bottom line : IMO; that's will states will look at that may be on the bubble of passing or not passing sports wagering.... Don't they show figures from year to year as to profilts? How many sports books have closed shop there in the last few years if any.... Some think sports betting is a lost leader for the casinos..No idea... Just have finger crossed for 3/5 decision!!

Same here, but I'm hearing now that the 3/5 decision may be delayed until April or even May. My understanding is that profit margins are small when compared to table games or slots. Word is the primary mode of sports betting besides online will be a bunch of kiosks.

They are doing very well. They don't rake it in like slots or table games, but they have had the most growth. The last two years have seen record growth in Nevada for sports betting

What do Nevada books say about the "integrity tax"? Once legal sports betting is made legal, if other states have to pay it, so will Vegas sports books.......I don't think it will.be 1% tho, they might all compromise at .25%, or the leagues won't get jack.

I remember when the lottery was banned from most states, even though it was up to the individual state.....But when one state saw what the state next door was bringing in for revenue, minds begin to change in some states. Virginia will never have a state lottery...I heard that so many times... Now they have multiple drawings each day. When the decision is finally announced by the Supreme Court, it will be interesting to see which state is first after NJ to have full sports wagering. ( Will this issue of paying something to the leagues be mentioned in the Supreme Court decision or will there be an upcoming new case just about that issue?)

I don't think it's going to happen, and hope it doesn't happen. The books already pay taxes, and we have a gaming board here that does that work. Most of the cheating in the NCAA has been discovered and stopped because of betting here. I think it will be state by state, there wont be a federal gaming board. And the leagues shouldn't get money from gamblers, it's ridiculous to think they should.

I agree.......also, the NCAA league make a ton of money from TV deal & merchandise, & stadium revenue, etc.....& the college kids make nothing. The pro leagues are in the same boat minus the salarys the players make.

Huge money to be made by the leagues once sports betting is legalized in most states by TV deals, etc.....& they still put their hands out like the greedy mofos they are for "integrity tax"
