Trump will not undue 2nd amendment rights, which was written so free people can protect themselves from being over taken by modern day liberals (OK, the last part is a slight embellishment, but people who actually understand the Constitution know what I'm talking about)

Trump met w/ lawmakers on gun control where he bullied GOP who defend the 2A & said govt should "take guns first, go through due process second" Imagine Obama saying something similar? He'd been denounced as a dictator. Congress would talk impeachment. Some would mutter secession

I believe there has to be a mechanism (Baker act comes to mind) for a law enforcement agency to temporarily take weapons away from a person that displays a danger to themselves or others.
The Baker Act allows for involuntary examination (what some call emergency or involuntary commitment). It can be initiated by judges, law enforcement officials, physicians, or mental health professionals. There must be evidence that the person: possibly has a mental illness (as defined in the Baker Act).
