Big East basketball will never be what it was when I was growing up.

With all of the conference flip flopping, the Big East got the shaft big time.

Georgetown, St. Johns, Syracuse, UCONN are just not the same.

Indiana too

There will never be another Bob Knight.

Probably the best basketball mind to have ever lived. Just pure basketball. No recruiting and all of the other BS that goes with it. He just could not adjust to the way things are now.

He could take 5 three star basketball players and make them a top 15 team. I have spoken with him. Extremely intelligent

Indiana will be back in the top 10 next year. This was always a lost season
bold statement considering they haven't ended a season in the top 10 since Kurt Cobain was playing live at the MTV awards

Won a national championship 4 years ago
Lost to 1 seeded KU in the 2nd round 2 years ago (April 2016)

In May of 2016, Daniel Hamilton unexpectedly entered and stayed in the NBA draft against everybody's advice. He's currently making 28k in the D-League

In August of 2016 a top recruit Mamadou Diarra injures his foot and misses 16/17
In November of 2016, Gilbert, a McDonald's AA Freshmen injures his shoulder and misses 16/17
In November of 2016, prize transfer Terry Larrier tears his ACL and misses 16/17

------------------------------
In May of 2017, Ollie has year end meetings with the kids talking about forthcoming changes, two freshmen and one sophomore transfer
In May of 2017, as part of his reset, Ollie fires an asst coach which also causes our top recruit to decommit (the coach recruited the kid, the kid went to PC)

In November 2017, the team started 4-0, beat OR in OR and was leading Mich St and then Gilbert re injures his shoulder. Misses the rest of the season again

17/18, Terry Larrier is recovering from his ACL and never reached star status, but the team started playing well in January and won three straight games before he fractures his nasal canal. Terry absolutely sucked the rest of the year. When a young team starts the season short handed because of transfers, they just can't overcome this bullshit.

We had Gilbert and a 4 star transfer sitting on the bench, we had a 4 star freshmen coming in and a couple of other good recruits. Everybody else was coming back except Terry Larrier who didn't do anything in two injury prone years. Our front court consisted of 4 freshmen and 1 sophomore (another 1st year player). I think we would have been a tournament team next year and potentially very good in 2 or 3 years (assuming Gilbert stayed healthy)

I think Ollie should have been given one more year, but I was in the minority (or maybe the silent majority, IDK). I know I wasn't one of the people kicking and screaming before an exhibition game was even played.

Now I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I hope the AD has somebody in line that can salvage the roster

He said something as an announcer one game that boosted my free throw percentage by about 15% no shit. You don't see many players doing it. People back away from the free throw line, put their form down quick..etc.. But he said, make sure your chin is over your toe. That night I shot close to 100 free throws and was around 85%. Yearssss ago. But I said, this mother fucker is legit and knows his shit. Even today, I still don't see many do it. Steph Curry does.
