NIT: I'm pretty sure most of you are aware of the experimental rule changes of the NIT.

1. 3 pt line moved back 20 inches
2. Shot clock on off reb set to 20 secs
3. wider ft lane,
4. 10 min quarters, with 5 fould resulting in 2 ft's,

Briefly for me: thinking outside the box

more 3 attempts, longer rebs, equal fast breaks, wider posting area for the bigs, more shot attempts because of shot clock rest to 20 secs instead of 30 after off reb, no more 1 and 1 misses, automatic 2 ft shots, for me college players and coaches turning their players loose more than normal for some more fun and wanting them to be happy, rewarding them after a grueling season,

other words I'm taking a shot at higher scoring, obviously from the higher totals the experts are also expecting higher scores,

sucker me in, but I'm trying out these 3 games:

558 ND/Hamp over 153 (1)

Far less 3's made than usual. 20" is alot. Not disagreeing, just wondering.

He's.....well, he's Trae Young. Poor Man's Steph Curry.

Three's from the corner unchanged and if Trae Young can hit one from 35' at will, most your other 3 pt shooters can. Thing I like is the shot clock, game gonna start moving at warp speed at 20 seconds. I'm playing a couple myself, Poke's game one of them. GL!

Slight exaggeration, but he routinely dropped them from 30' in, but I did watch him drop more than a few from further out. The players will adjust, but the speed here is what I'm most interested in.

I hear ya. And I see Gulf Coast scored about 95/game last 3 ( gave up 108 last out ! ).

Probably, but on a off reb they don't gain the full shot clock, and like I mentioned long shots mean long rebounds, and I'm really hoping the coaches give the players a little more freedom to launch and have some fun with the game.
