Absolutely. Why it's the best tournament ever!

I was rooting for Nevada to make that comeback....

But now I won't be rooting for them against our Gamblers! Can't wait. Gonna be a good one.

Why the tourney is so awesome. Basically throw out everything u did in the regular season, and it comes down to 1 game. You better be ready to ball. If not, we know the results.

For this Forum it makes little to no difference as they are a playing a game and there will be a line and a total. And most of us will have no better opinion on this game as opposed to a #2 Cincinnati vs. #3 Tennessee matchup.

So enjoy the game, as you will be watching; and good luck.

Cheers!

This has been the best first two rounds I can recall, in terms of upsets, comebacks, and exciting finishes. I have Kentucky to win in all in a pool where you get four random teams, one 1-4 seed, one 5-8 etc.
Never thought Kentucky would be favored to make it out of their bracket at this point in the tourney.

Cool that Loyola made it this far, but at this point I have to think Nevada -2 is the way to go, a lean at least.

Best tournament ever lmfao. This had been by far the worst tournament ever besides what these two teams have done lol. Take them away and you have quite possibly the worst tournament of games we have ever seen in NCAA tournament history.

Pace of Play: Which team benefits from a slow pace tonight? Which team benefits from a fast pace?

I think the general consensus here is that if the pace is slow, then Loyola wins, and if the pace is fast, Nevada wins. But it could very well be the opposite. The first two games PROVED that Nevada can be beat in fast-paced games. If the pace is fast, does Nevada come out flat? Do they come out playing well but then after 30 minutes it all falls apart due to fatigue?

Loyola should strongly consider whether they should play their slow, methodical game. Or a fast-paced game that seems to be a recipe for beating Nevada. Just because Nevada escaped twice, doesn't mean they'll escape a third time. So I actually believe a slower pace benefits Nevada tonight. And if the game turns into a fast-paced game, I guess we'll just have to sit back and see if Nevada can ride this out to the Elite 8.

Futures odds comparisons from 5dimes:

To win the region:
Nevada +360
Loyola +445

Advance to Final:
Nevada +1150
Loyola +1650

To win the Championship:
Nevada +6600
Loyola +9500

These odds are mostly indicative of whether they can beat stronger teams consecutively, for example: Kentucky, then Gonzaga, then Nova/Duke. Still, this tournament is played one game at a time, and anything can happen.

I think Nevada is the pick tonight.

I have Loyola making it into the Elite 8 in my bracket. This team is no joke. Loyola and Bucknell were on my radar as darkhorses before season began. Unfortunately for Bucknell they just drew up a bad matchup vs Mich St. Loyola can defend just as well as any team in the country. I mentioned a few other points in another thread but don't want to sound like a broken record. I gotta ride with Loyola because ive been a believer since day 1 also the money/line/% odd movement so far. Im def going to keep a close eye on this one.
