Nevada began the game banging it from 3 foot in. Layups. Then for no reason (no, it wasn't tough defense, at least at the start) they started hacking up bad 3 pointers for no good reason except maybe selfishness.
They are, or were, clearly dominant on the inside at the start.
Coach neeeds to pull his head out. Might be 10 minutes too late.

What u described Nevada doing is poisoning CBB. Count how many times these kids in this age pulls up for a jumper for 2 pts.

The NCAA will not move the 3 pt. line back but they should. These kids are bigger than ever and they have good shooting range farther than ever.

It is sad and frustrating a lot of times, to watch these kids just launch 3-pointer after 3-pointer.

You do realize that Nevada shoots at nearly 40% from the 3 point line?

You want to criticize their shot selection this game, its what they have done all year and got them to the final 16.

Yep. I also saw that they were dominating inside early and when they got a nice lead they decided to audition for the NBA with extra-long 3s for no reason.

It is a 3 point shooting contest, look at the results of last nights games.

For Nevada, Stephens went 0 - 8 from the 3 point range. He is one of the top 3 pt shooters in the land, hits 41%, is projected to be a 2nd round draft choice... With the Martin twins they have 3 starters projected to be drafted this year in the first two rounds.
Should have fouled with 36 (or so) seconds to go down by one...

Outcoached.

And yes the 3 point bucket has ruined the game, at least needs to be moved back further.

AND the flops... looks like soccer out there, 230 lb muscle bound mutants fall through the air on their backs when barely touched. Sickening.

how do you think they got to the sweet 16? 3 pointers, you dance with the date you brought, you don't change a system that got 29 wins, outcoached? a ridiculous comment!! some night shots don't fall

About 35 seconds to go.
Down by one.
Loyola with the ball.
Nevada didn’t foul.
Stupid.
Loyola let the clock run down.
Even if they don’t score Nevada would only have a few seconds to go the length of the court.
But Loyola hits a 3.
Outcoached.

(there is more but I’ll leave it at that)

They had fouls to give and weren’t trapping.....just standing there watching the clock run down. I can’t believe the coach thought that was the thing to do. Just brutal. What did he give for an explanation ? I still can’t fathom it.
What was K-St. thinking when they let that guy shoot that 3 for the tie ? If you’re up 3, don’t you foul and put them at the line shooting one and one, or do you let them tie with that basket ? There’s only 7 seconds. By the time he let the shot go they could foul on the floor and put them on the line with a miracle needed instead of an open 3

Agree. They should have fouled and FORCED Loyola to make 2 FTs. AT LEAST they should've fouled a few times to get closer to that bonus for the 1-1 for Loyola. They were stuck at 4 still i believe. Grind the game out, make it longer, anything can happen. 2 FTs are not guaranteed makes, especially in CBB. We all know this...

Even if Loyola misses a shot, u get the ball w/ 4-5 secs left and u have to go the full length of the court. OR is it guaranteed Nevada gets the ball back? What if Loyola got an offensive rebound? Didn't agree w/ what Musselman was doing....i was SHOCKED to say the least.

BAD COACHING, indeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!!
