According to NCAA rankings, the following schools have the easiest schedules for the 2018
season.

Power 5

1. Oregon 2. Virginia Tech 3. Wisconsin 4. Washington 5. Cal
Note that three of the easiest schedules belong to the Pac-12 North.

Group of Five

1. New Mexico St. 2. UAB 3. Ohio 4. Arkansas St. 5. Colorado State
I would love to see UAB have another strong season...betting they will.

I'm not sure of the criteria the NCAA uses to make these selections.

South Carolina (72)
Georgia (63)
Vanderbilt (59)

Alabama (54)
Kentucky (43)
Miss State (40)

I was always under the impression that the degree of difficulty that a college football team must deal with would be determined by what out of conference "patsies" they schedule. The problem for the "bluebloods" of college football today is finding these "patsy" teams (i.e. Michigan scheduling Appalachian State). The caliber of college football has improved across the board.....much more talent today.

For the SEC teams playing (8) conference games, in my opinion, would, increase the "degree of difficulty" for all the teams
based on the prowess of the conference they play-in. (Perhaps a bit of Southeastern Conference bias on my part but the record over the past 15 to 20 years does speak for its self).

Mack, as you know I am an SEC guy. I strongly believe the SEC should play nine conference games like most
of the other top tier conferences. Alabama playing some of the pasty teams like Georgia State, Liberty,
Eastern Carolina is a joke. I would not drive to Tuscaloosa to watch one of these powder puff games with free
tickets and parking pass.

Good to see Bama talking with USC, Texas and Notre Dame for a home and home. Those I would travel for.
