Villanova -5 4 units
Its rare i post my plays but i think the biggest strength of the wvu defense will be their weakness tonight. The WVU press is something everyone likes to talk about, they create turnovers a create havoc for their opponent. I dont think thats how its going to work tonight, i think it will hurt them. The way I see it playing out is that Villanova has the experience and coaching to break the press leaving open shooters from the outside. Villanova has a good amount of 3 point shooters and the experience in guard play to break out from the press which will cause the defense to collapse for a nice kickout to an open shooter. Its just one aspect of the game and i understand that but where many view the WVU press as a positive for them, i see it as a negative which i think changes the approach and forces huggins to make changes he doesnt want to do, and he wont abandon the press which i think will hurt them all game. All other factors point to villanova in my opinion after that. experience, coaching, guard play, free throw shooting, etc. You can disect the game in tons of other ways but the large advantage for WVU i see the other way and a large advantage to Villanova which makes me more confident. hate taking favorites in march but i think this is a solid one.
