[h=1]Best bets for Sunday's Elite Eight games[/h]
Andrew Lange
ESPN INSIDER

The Elite Eight slate for Sunday features a pair of top seeds in Villanova and Kansas, plus No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Texas Tech, who is making its first appearance in the Elite Eight.
The back-to-back games on Sunday will bring plenty of excitement as all involved rally toward a trip to San Antonio for the Final Four. But how should bettors approach the contests? Here's a look at how to bet each game.

[h=2]No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. No. 1 Villanova Wildcats (-6.5)[/h]Sunday, 2:20 p.m. ET in Boston
Another point spread cover and another <offer>over-the-total result for Villanova, as the Wildcats were 13-for-24 (54.2 percent) from 3-point range, en route to a 90-78 win over West Virginia. The Mountaineers actually played their game: 76 possessions, 16 forced turnovers, and 23 trips the free throw line. But trading baskets for 40 minutes with one of the most efficient offenses in college basketball history proved fatal.</offer>

Texas Tech offers a much different look. The Red Raiders won't press and won't get baited into an uptempo affair. Their game against Purdue was far more of a grind than the final score (78-65) and pace (68 possessions) indicated. And only one TTU player saw more than 30 minutes of action, which should help with the short turnaround.
I'm looking for spots to play against Villanova, as well as under the total, but the current numbers simply don't agree. I made Villanova a minus-6 favorite and the over/under 145. I will look to play under the total at halftime or in-game if I can get a more favorable number.
Lean: Under

[h=2]No. 2 Duke Blue Devils (-3.5) vs. No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks[/h]Sunday, 5:05 p.m. ET in Omaha
A key in-game matchup will be how Kansas' Udoka Azubuike handles Duke's interior. With a balky knee, Azubuike had nearly a week of rest before Friday's game against an undersized Clemson front line. Now, with only one day to recover, he'll be tasked with defending and scoring against Marvin Bagley III and Wendell Carter Jr..
