I know there is likely a different forum listing, but just checking here as more traffic .... Monday-Wed/s are sorta slow, but let one reflect .... If we get a favorable Supreme Court Decision (NJ wins) horse playing for me will likely go on the back burner in a short time. Belmont Park opens soon, which next to Pimlico are the tracks that I've had success, even if long ago.

the feds have changed the requirements for horse W2G's. it
is a huge difference. also, if you play horses, one should be
playing at domestic (legal ) sites that give rebates. I receive
anywhere from 2-15% back on every wager depending upon the
track and the type of bet.

That's the direction for very serious players... I'm a small player (today) and rarely play exotics...But at one time I did... The P 6 at Pimlico on an opening day got me hook on this game...And I had a little computer program, which I thought was the KEY to the bank... :hahahahah

My favorite horse quote was from a Kentucky horse player.... He said, if you die and don't make it to heaven, but you've been in the grandstands on opening day at Churchill Downs in the Spring, then you've allready been there.. ( Funny but shows passion)

I knew all about harness racing being crooked; aka Rosecroft raceway in the the 1980's ... What a joke racing was there.

harness used to be much more crooked when the pool sizes dwarfed the purse structure.
now with handles down and purses inflated due to simulcasting/racinos it is a much
purer sport than it was decades ago.

Go to the track once a week. Love it. Love handicapping. And love the laughs we have at the bar I sit at.

Saratoga is my favorite place in the world.

Dreamer! I don't mean to say it hasn't gotten better to a degree... but, highly doubt what degree... I mean Twinspires and their competitors don't "GIVE AWAY" free harness programs...So they struggle big time.

I agree on the small handle tracks, hard to cheat when there is no money in the pools

Pimlico runs for about two weeks. They should shut that place down and give the Preakness to Laurel. Churchill only runs for about 2 1/2 months they make a killing on Derby week. I don't think either track will expand If they have sports betting. Infact the sports betting is probably going to take betting $$ from the horses. Will be interesting what happens
