Anyone have them? Are they worth getting? I have prescription sunglasses but thinking of switching to transition lenses.

Great question... I gave up on them and went back to regular, but about 4-5 years ago.. I felt they got dark too quickly.

I have both, the straight Rx sunglasses and the Rx transitions.

With the regular sun glasses... Plus was just switch them on and off as needed. Also, treated them as an emergency pair when out and about. Negative is have to carry or keep track of 2 pair of glasses.

With the transitions... Only 1 pair to keep track of and didnt have to think about switching them or forgetting a pair. Negative is they take too long to transition back to normal. So you look like a shady mofo when shopping or at a restaurant until they switch back to normal.

My wife has been telling me to get them, and I'm torn.

There was a kid, in the 8th grade, who had them, and mostly everyone started calling him "The Fly". Like the 80's movie.

I'm in my 40's, and don't care what people say or think. I'm not into fashion or being cool anymore, however that incident has resonated on my brain, and is the reason why I'm hesitant.

It makes no sense.
