My neighbor Vin is a Yankees Insider. He sits inside and watches every game!

I tried this two years ago and ended up a bit to the good, but not a lot due to the juice involved as well as the fact that the Yanks are always overpriced.

Even though it seems like the boys usually lose opening day games, Vin likes them to win today. After all, he's made the trip up to the great white North for the series and is looking forward to seeing some balls flying. New manager, new bats - things are different. Happ, who usually throws well against NY, is on the mound against us, facing Severino, who is now curse-free. (We hope.)

Vin should see a good game if he can drag himself away from the strip clubs.

Also, the Mets always win opening day, says Vin. Long ago they made a deal with Satan that they should always win opening day but more often than not have a terrible season or a promising one with a historic meltdown. Vin says he has this on good authority. Who would make a deal like that I ask? Mets brass isn't too smart Vin says.

So let's see how he does. Hopefully either really well or really badly. But, like last time, probably will be average in the end. (We didn't make it the whole season last time.)

Anyway, as John Fogherty says "We're born again, there's new grass on the field."

Enjoy the games everyone!

Tanaka Tanaka says Vin
Giancarlo likes to hit home runs
Poutine is terrible but Canadian girls more then make up for it

Yanks -155

I imagine I'll start betting runlines or making a -1 after this. If the bats deliver another performance like last night, then we're going to have some Zimbabwae style inflation going on here. Hopefully the men from Japan and the offense show up and I get by with laying this juice.... GL everyone and enjoy the games!

I remember it was about 10 years ago or so that the Bombers covered the RL 18 straight. After what I witnessed yesterday, there won't be any reasonable ML wagers anytime soon. I think we're on the cusp of seeing Sosa vs McGuire 2, only this time, the two combatants are on the same team. GL

its scary to think what Stanton can do when a team has to pitch to him. he could have the best year of his career this year,

Thanks for the input guys. I agree with you Skins. I love Stanton in that DH slot. T, you put the whammy on Judge and Stanton yesterday! Let's see if they can respond today. BOL guys.

Hope everyone is having a good Easter weekend.
Chapman looked a bit shaky yesterday. The old big man on the hill today on fine days rest. Estrada good record against the Yanks and CC not bad vs the Jays.
Boone shuffling the outfield today .... It seemed like the Jays were really starting to figure out the pen and Chapman yesterday, and we've all seen father time catching up to CC. I've seen him be great 3-4 innings and then get pulled more than a few times.

Today's play is Toronto -106

Fwiw the value is long gone on this play. NY was -140 last night and is now -104. Total moved from 9 to 9.5.

Good luck and enjoy the games everyone!

Injury bug bites early. Bats cold. Time to handle some adversity and bounce back.
Happy Easter everyone.

Had a bad feeling about today should have listened to it. Our bullpen is shit and the bats are still cold.

So Far: 4-1
Gain/Loss: +2.99 (flat bet to win 1.0 per game)

Outfield - Aaron Hibks then his replacement who was called up from the minors (first round pick) Billy McKinley.

Forecast for tomorrow looks horrible. Wintery mix starting at 2am forecast to last until 2 tomorrow. They might not postpone the game but it will likely be delayed.

While the Mets have a tradition of winning their home opener, the Yankees have the opposite.

Ray's starter not listed yet.... But pobably looking to play against the boys tomorrow.

Make up date tomorrow. Weather underground calling for a 70 percent chance of rain then too.

I've good sign - lots of people are contributing. That should come together for us.

Vin highly recommends the strip clubs in Toronto.

Game today likely to be rained out or delayed.

If the weather was good says Vin, I'd go with the Rays. There's been heavy talk to the Yanks trading for Chris ARcher, who is scheduled to start today. Sure he had an off year last year, but would be a solid acquisition. And he don't want to play in that shithole, says Vin. I mean, who would? Gotta be one of the worst stadiums in the majors. So I would think he's keen on sending the NY brass a message today and will really make an effort.

However, with the weather being shit, and delays likely, Archer could get pulled with a long mid-game delay, etc. Too many unknowns says Vin. I'd save your money for when the weather gets better.

Note: tomorrow there is also a strong chance of rain, as of now 70% noon to 7PM. Also, the forecast (now) is for winds during and after the rain of 18-20mph; gusts up to 50mph. If they play, balls will be moving. An under maybe?

Good luck today if you play!

Going to be nasty weather but the boys have the clear edge. Just hope for no injuries.
I remember when the Yanks couldn't hit lefties... Times have sure changed. I hope.

GL everyone!

Birds on second leg of road trip and are having trouble scoring.
Tanaka on an extra day's rest. Night/evening game. Shogun up.
Cashner got roughed up at home a bit his first start against the twinny twin twins.
He came to the wrong place if he's looking for an easier time of it.

Bronx Whuppin' Sticks -1.5 -125

GL Everyone and enjoy the games.

Note: winds for the game should be 15mph or so and slightly falling as the game goes on. Cloudy and low 40s.

T - thankfully the whammy was temporary - was if full effect for a few days!

Sorry about Thursday Indy. The boys laid a real egg. No play today. When I saw Vin this morning, the first thing he told me is that we should have won Tanaka's start. "I just feel like if we scored a few early, it would have been over," he said. "That loss last night in extras was just brutal. I told you it was a coin flip. Kind of like today's game - the pens from both sides are depleted and Sonny Gray throws a lot of pitches and isn't known for going into the late innings. The kid for the O's, Tillman, was shaky in his first start but so was Cashner and we saw what happened there. The weather today favors the pitchers. It didn't snow today like the forecasts were saying yesterday but it's nice and cold (low 40s) with a bit of a breeze (9-10mph). I'd leave this one alone if I were you. Plenty more games coming up to lose your money on" Vin has always told me baseball is all about the team getting into a rhythm. It seemed like the bats were starting to do that. Now it really doesn't. Let's see what happens today. We'll see what direction things are going. So far 5-2 Gain/Loss: +2.74 (flat bet to win 1.0 per game)

Thanks XS. Vin says he likes what he's seen from Montgomery and thinks the boys will get it done today for the series split. Also likes the under in this cold weather (high 30s low 40s here with a slight breeze (~10mph). Yankees -1.5 -105 Under 9 -115 Good luck and enjoy the game!
