Advertisers Ditching Laura Ingraham's Show Over Attack On Parkland Survivor

    Hayley Miller,HuffPost•March 29, 2018

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/nutrish-p...161027713.html

Shut up and keep schilling for Faux News, bitch, attacking a non adult who survived that shooting...brilliant.

Several companies announced Thursday that they were pulling the plug on advertising during Laura Ingraham’s show after the Fox News host bashed a teen survivor of the Parkland school shooting.
Nutrish, the pet food line owned by celebrity chef Rachael Ray, was the first to tweet that it would no longer advertise during Ingraham’s show.
“We are in the process of removing our ads from Laura Ingraham’s program, as the comments she has made are not consistent with how we feel people should be treated,” a spokesman for Nutrish told HuffPost in a statement.
Hours later, travel site TripAdvisor and home goods retailer Wayfair followed suit.
In a statement to HuffPost, TripAdvisor said Ingraham’s comments crossed “the line of decency”:
We believe strongly in the values of our company, especially the one that says, “We are better together.”
We also believe Americans can disagree while still being agreeable, and that the free exchange of ideas within a community, in a peaceful manner, is the cornerstone of our democracy.
We do not, however, condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster. In our view, these statements focused on a high school student, cross the line of decency. As such, we have made a decision to stop advertising on that program.

Laura Ingraham sparked an advertiser backlash when she described David Hogg as whining over college rejections.

A spokeswoman for Wayfair told HuffPost that Ingraham’s comments were “not consistent with our values.”
“As a company, we support open dialogue and debate on issues,” the Wayfair spokeswoman said. “However, the decision of an adult to personally criticize a high school student who has lost his classmates in an unspeakable tragedy is not consistent with our values. We do not plan to continue advertising on this particular program.”
The companies’ announcements came a day after Ingraham mocked David Hogg, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, for not getting accepted into a few colleges.
In response, Hogg called on people to pressure a dozen companies to remove their ads from Ingraham’s programs, which include “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News and a morning radio show on Talk 1370 AM of Austin, Texas. Nutrish, TripAdvisor and Wayfair are pulling their commercials from the Fox News show, the companies confirmed to HuffPost.
Ingraham apologized Thursday afternoon on Twitter for “any upset or hurt my tweet caused [Hogg] or any of the brave victims of Parkland.”
Hogg dismissed Ingraham’s apology in an interview Thursday with The New York Times.
“She only apologized after we went after her advertisers,” Hogg said. “It kind of speaks for itself. ... I’m not going to stoop to her level and go after her on a personal level. I’m going to go after her advertisers.”
Expedia and Nestlé told HuffPost on Thursday that they would no longer advertise on Ingraham’s show, but did not immediately specify when this decision was made or whether her remarks about Hogg played a role in it.
“We have no plans to buy ads on the show in the future,” the Nestlé spokesman said.
Johnson & Johnson told HuffPost on Thursday that it “will pull advertising from Ms. Ingraham’s show.” Stitch Fix also confirmed to HuffPost that it would stop purchasing ads on her program.
Hulu tweeted that evening in reply to Hogg, saying it would similarly cease such advertising.
HuffPost reached out to every company on Hogg’s list of Ingraham advertisers, as well as others the teen tweeted out from a list compiled by Media Matters for America, a progressive media watchdog. Nutrish, TripAdvisor, Wayfair, Expedia, Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson, Hulu and Stitch Fix have responded or otherwise made public statements.
A representative for Fox News declined to comment beyond Ingraham’s apology on Twitter.
This story has been updated as additional companies spoke out.

First of all, you brain dead putz, what about "A 17 year old is not an adult" do you not understand? Secondly, his "bullshit" has had a tremendous impact in a very short time, which, I'm sure you overlooked on account of your head being crammed up your ass. The number of advertisers who've told that Nazi saluting twat to pound sand is at 11 and counting, schmuck(somewhere, Bill O'Reilly's fat ass is probably twitching uncomfortably)and, I LOVE the way Hogg told her what she could do with her half assed "apology":

11 advertisers drop Laura Ingraham, while fans launch #IStandWithLaura

Nutrish was the first to say it would stop advertising on Ingraham's program, and other brands followed.
Ingraham apologized in a tweet the following day, citing "the spirit of Holy Week," and invited Hogg to appear on her show.

Hogg dismissed her statement. "She only apologized after we went after her advertisers," he told the New York Times. Ingraham has stayed silent since her tweet on Thursday.
Ingraham fans took to social media to call for boycotts of the companies that moved to pull their ads, launching the hashtag #IStandWithLaura. One user posted that he was systematically removing his reviews from TripAdvisor.

"The Ingraham Angle," which airs daily at 10 p.m. Eastern time, was the no. 4 cable show on TV last month, according to AdWeek, both in terms of total viewers and viewers in the 25-to-54 demographic, a coveted age group for cable news advertisers. According to AdAge, it's on track to be the second-most viewed show in its time slot, in which it competes with MSNBC's "The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell."
Fox News, which has not offered a statement, has faced a number of ad boycotts in recent years. After Sean Hannity supported Alabama judge Roy Moore in his campaign for the U.S. senate, five companies removed their ads, including Keurig. Hannity fans then launched a boycott of Keurig posting videos of themselves destroying their coffee makers on social media. The company's CEO later apologized. And former host Bill O'Reilly lost dozens of advertisers for his show after the New York Times reported that he and Fox News had agreed to a series of secret settlements over harassment allegations.
It's unclear how much of an impact the advertiser exodus will have on Ingraham's program. The 11 who have left are a small portion of the 129 companies that have run ads on her program in the last 10 days, reports Media Matters, a left-leaning media activist group. On Thursday night, Ingraham's show ran a "filler" ad, indicating it could be having trouble selling.

Following are the companies that have distanced themselves from Ingraham's program as of Friday afternoon.
    Atlantis, Paradise Island

The Bahamas resort told The Hill on Friday it "decided to remove all brand advertising tied to the program."
"Although we are an organization that believes in freedom of expression, we do not condone discrimination, bullying, mockery or harmful behavior of any kind," the company told The Hill in a statement.
    Jenny Craig

The weight-loss company told HuffPost on Friday, "We have decided to take steps to discontinue advertising on this show."
    Nutrish

"We are in the process of removing our ads from Laura Ingraham's program," the pet food company tweeted Thursday morning.
    Hulu

The streaming service, which has 17 million subscribers, tweeted its decision Thursday night.
"We'd like to confirm that we are no longer advertising on Laura Ingraham's show and are monitoring all of our ad placements carefully," the company said.
    TripAdvisor

"TripAdvisor believes strongly in the values of our company, especially the one that says, 'We are better together,'" a company spokesperson said in a statement sent to CBS News.
"We also believe Americans can disagree while still being agreeable, and that the free exchange of ideas within a community, in a peaceful manner, is the cornerstone of our democracy," it said.
"We do not, however, condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster. In our view, these statements focused on a high school student, cross the line of decency," the statement added.
    Wayfair

The online home-goods retailer told HuffPost, "The decision of an adult to personally criticize a high school student who has lost his classmates in an unspeakable tragedy is not consistent with our values. We do not plan to continue advertising on this particular program."
    Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix, the clothing subscription company, tweeted: "We did not make the decision to drop our ads from The Ingraham Angle lightly, but believe it was the right thing to do after statements from the host crossed the line of decency."
    Expedia

"We have pulled the advertising," the travel site told CNBC.
    Nestlé

The food conglomerate told HuffPost, "We have no plans to buy ads on the show in the future."
    Johnson & Johnson

The personal goods giant told HuffPost it "will pull advertising from Ms. Ingraham's show."
    Office Depot

Office Depot has pulled their ads from the show, The Daily Beast reported.

So wait, how does this work Dafinch?

Democrats want to stop bullying in schools and think bullies should be punished... YET if the bullies cause someone to to shoot up a school, they give the bullies the limelight, fame and a podium to speak from.

Is it me, or do liberals live in an upside down world?

14 pull outs and counting, ROTFMLAO!!!!! Try another apology, bitch...

Laura Ingraham’s advertisers are fleeing; Here’s the list

Companies seek to distance themselves from conservative host after she mocked David Hoog

By Chuck Barney | cbarney@bayareanewsgroup.com | Bay Area News Group
    PUBLISHED: March 30, 2018 at 12:45 pm | UPDATED: March 30, 2018 at 5:06 pm

The list of companies pulling ads from Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show continues to grow.
Ingraham drew criticism after she mocked Parkland, Florida, high school shooting survivor David Hogg, who has emerged as an outspoken advocate of gun control, on Wednesday over his college application rejections. By Friday afternoon, at least 14 advertisers had pulled their support from her show.
    Here’s the list:
    — Nutrish
    — TripAdvisor
    — Wayfair
    — Expedia
    — Nestlé
    — Johnson & Johnson

    — Stitch Fix
    — Hulu
    — Jos. A. Bank
    — Office Depot
    — Jenny Craig
    — Miracle-Ear
    — Liberty Mutual
    — Principal
A few of the companies issued statements in conjunction with their moves:
“As a company, we support open dialogue and debate on issues,” a spokeswoman for the home goods retailer Wayfair said. “However, the decision of an adult to personally criticize a high school student who has lost his classmates in an unspeakable tragedy is not consistent with our values.”
“We will no longer advertise with The Laura Ingraham Show moving forward,” a representative for Office Depot told the Huffington Post on Friday.
Earlier this week, Ingraham took to Twitter to say that Hogg, 17, was whining about his rejections and said it was “totally predictable” that he wouldn’t be accepted to those universities with a 4.1 GPA.
Hogg responded by calling on his Twitter followers to pressure advertisers to cut ties with Ingraham’s TV and radio shows.
Ingraham has since apologized, but Hogg refused to accept. In an interview on CNN, he said, “She’s only apologizing after a third of her advertisers pulled out … If she really wants to do something, she could cover inner-city violence and the real issues that we have in America.”
Ingraham is one of several conservatives who have criticized the student activists of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for calling for gun-control legislation.

What about "A 17 year is not considered an adult" is too tough for you to understand? And, as for your overall view, fortunately, a lotta people don't agree with you. Ya know how I know that? Because, if they did, advertisers wouldn't be pulling out in droves(up to 16 and counting, lol); that dumb bitch wouldn't have desperately tried a half assed apology, and, she wouldn't be suddenly going on a heretofore unannounced "vacation." Hey, except for the half assed apology, this all has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it? This was exactly Faux News' playbook when the shit started to hit the fan with Bill O'Reilly-and he's waaaaaaaaay more popular than Mrs. Ed. Stupid twat may come back to find that, like Billy Boy, she ain't got no job.

Dafinch up in arms over something someone said 1 time, and gave a "Half-assed" apology for.... yet does look in the mirror at himself, and all the dozens of things he has posted that were 100% wrong he never apologized for.

Like I said before... ALL of Dafinchs accusations of everyone are actually REFLECTIONS of what he has actually done!

Ingraham earned a B.A. at Dartmouth College in 1985 and a Juris Doctor at the
University of Virginia School of Law in 1991. She clerked for U.S. Supreme Court
Justice Clarence Thomas. She then worked as an attorney at the New York-based law
firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Ingraham launched The Laura Ingraham Show in April 2001, which is heard on 306
stations and on XM Satellite Radio. On October 30, 2017, Fox News inaugurated an
hour-long television show hosted by Ingraham, The Ingraham Angle.

Her net worth is $70 million. Somehow I think she'll survive.

Rocker Ted Nugent says the Florida students calling for gun control have 'no soul' and are 'mushy brained children.'
He made the comments Friday while defending the National Rifle Association as a guest on the Joe Pags Show, a nationally syndicated conservative radio program.
Nugent, an NRA board member, said survivors of the Parkland school shooting are wrong to blame the NRA for mass shootings citing that most members come from good American families.
The 69-year-old rocker specifically called out Parkland students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg for spreading '100 per cent lies and falsehoods' about the NRA.

Rocker Ted Nugent made comments Friday while defending the National Rifle Association as a guest on the Joe Pags Show, a nationally syndicated conservative radio program. Nugent, an NRA board member, called survivors 'mushy brained students'. Pictured is him at a Trump rally

He went on to say that 'the evidence is irrefutable, they have no soul,' and that the students were 'mushy brain children' who only spread lies.
'They are actually committing spiritual suicide because everything they recommend will cause more death and mayhem, guaranteed,' Nugent said during the interview.
He blamed the students education as well as the mainstream media for the ideas they have spread about the NRA.

'The dumbing down of America is manifested in the cultural deprivation of our academia that have taught these kids the lies, media that have prodded and encouraged and provided these kids lies,' he said.
'I really feel sorry for them because it's not only ignorant and dangerously stupid, but it's also soulless.'
His main critique was against recent interviews Marjory Stoneman High School students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg have done since the shooting on February 14.
Joe Pags played a CNN interview with Gonzalez and Hogg for Nugent so he could hear their responses to questions about guns.
Gonzalez said the NRA was giving out 'blood money' to politicians to promote their agenda and Hogg said people in the organization were 'child killers'.
Nugent responded: 'Well that is sad the level of ignorance just goes against the level of stupidity.'

Emma Gonzalez has also been vocal about lawmakers cutting ties with the NRA and not accepting funding from the pro-gun organization.

Nor have you addressed how all of the indictments, over half of them Russians, have nothing to do with Russia.
