NO, he's not going to be fired anytime soon, but in terms of pressure and must wins, he
can't lose to Michigan State again, he can't lose to Ohio State again, and he has to at
least be really, really close to winning a Big Ten title. (Pete Fiutak)

2015 (10-3)
Lost to Michigan State 23-27
Lost to Ohio State 13-42

2016 (10-3)
Beat Michigan State 32-23
Lost to Ohio State 27-30

2017 (8-5)
Lost to Michigan State 10-14
Lost to Ohio State 20-31

Sidenote: Ohio State's Meyer has gone 12-1, 11-2 and 12-2 during Harbaugh's time at Michigan.
Michigan fans expect the same out of Harbaugh. Another 8-5 season will bring some heat.

Just when the college football "coaching seat" cools-off because of a reasonably successful past season (a better than expected win/loss record, a major bowl win, a conference championship or a play-off berth), the "heater " ramps-up again right before opening day kick-off the following year. You can ask any big-time coach if that seat ever cools-off......Even Nick Sabin or Urban Meyer will tell you it is permanently "luke-warm".....at best.

Mack, with the money being paid some of these guys...they should be on alert every season.

Ohio State just announced that Urban Meyer would get a new five year contract extension with
a $1.2 million dollar raise. The new deal runs through January 21, 2023 and will pay Meyer $7.6
million per season. The new contract make Meyer the highest paid coach in the Big Ten and the
third highest paid nationally behind Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney. Meyer has a 72-8 record with
the Buckeyes.

Jim Harbaugh is now the second highest paid coach in the Big Ten at $7,004,000.

He should be. He's done nothing (by big-time college football standards). His team will be pre-season top 10, so if they crap the bed this year he's done.

They're waiting on Shea Patterson's eligibility status. He's good, but is he good enough to win the big games?

Shea is definitely good enough for a big college game. The question is harbaugh? I can see Michigan contending seriously but choking late. That last bowl game was shocking. Can this guy win a big game against urban, nick, or dabo? Not likely

As recent as 20 years ago, who ever would have thought College Football Coaches would become multi-millionaires......

Talking about athletes and coaches being compensated, I remember Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox being quoted as saying, "hell, if they are going to pay me $30,000 a year, the least I can do is hit .400", which he did. Those were the days.......long gone.

Huge addition Albert if he's eligible at Michigan. The kid can play and Michigan needs
a quarterback.

Great addition for Michigan if he is allowed to play....we're talking a game changer.

Hot Seat? I'd say yes if he has another 8-4 season. He's 0-3 against OSU and hasn't beat a team with a winning record in two seasons. As a 49ers fan, I predicted this would happen. He couldn't beat his rivals and couldn't win the big games. He's overated. His brother Jon is a far better coach.

I don't think Michigan wants to keep paying 9 million a year to be mediocre. He'll probably leave before getting canned though.
