Does anyone else think he's fully healthy and just choosing not to play?

It is his quadricep, what is strange is he has his own Doctors and at times stops communicating with the Spurs. He has his own team now. And how bad do the Spurs need him now. Without they are probably done in the second round, with him 100% nobody I mean nobody wants to see them in the playoffs.

Coming to the C's for Terry Rozier and a 2nd round pick in 2022

The Spurs have their eye on some eight grader they hope to land.

Pop is mad because Leonard is not buying into the "Spurs Way"

If he says he is hurt then I think you gotta take him at his word that he is hurt. Not like we're talking about a 2004 Vince Carter here.

But I do think he has some resentment towards the Spurs for getting the best of him on his last contract. It isn't their fault his agent was shortsighted/dumb but he took a 4yr extension when the cap skyrocketed the next few seasons and he would've been better off taking a 2 yr extension and getting a new deal with the new cap. He fired his agent after this, granted it isn't the Spurs fault his agent wasn't savvy but he probably doesn't feel like doing them any favors after that either. Surprised the media hasn't mentioned that variable at all.

I think the tension stems from Parker having suffered a much tougher injury yet he's back and playing and trying to help the team and Leonard isn't.

Tony Parker barely plays and has a very specific role when he comes into the game for 7-8 minutes each half. Kawhi Leonard's job is to carry the team on both ends of the court. The physical demands of their roles are just so much different. Comparing how fast 1 cameback from injury to another is not apples to apples at all.

I'm not gonna pretend to know how hurt he is but I don't think he is close to 100%. Maybe it could be said he isn't trying to go the extra mile for the Spurs right now, but definitely not fair to compare him and Parker's recovery when the demands on their bodies are so much different.

I've heard that the quad is fully healed and has said the Spurs are not getting the real Kawhi Leonard until he gets a max contract then the real Kawhi will play.

I understand however, Tony Parker is playing and suffered a much worse injury. I get it's limited minutes but he's out there grinding with his teammates.

The principle from his HS said he is a selfish but humble guy. When asked what that means he stated Leonard does what he wants, when he wants, does not follow authority but is not doing it for attention, he stays out of the spotlight but is quietly very egotistical.
Based on what we seen from him in the NBA, that may have some truth to it.
