I disagree, I think the picture is the biggest factor when setting odds for baseball. The stat I think that is the most over rated is wins for pitcher

Agree because they get pulled earlier now. People rarely cap the bullpens like the starters, yet the bullpens get 33-50% of the usage.

Disagree about turnovers. Winning teams virtually always have positive turnover margins. The Patriots are near the top in this stat every year.

And I agree that bullpens have become much more important in Baseball as starters are now babied. The thing is that it's never clear who is gonna be coming out of the bullpen. Closers are a big factor. Virtually all the best teams have a good one.

I agree passing yards in a game...average quarterbacks can have 300 plus passing yards on losing teams because of having to play from behind and throw every down.

Also , I think team shots on goal for a hockey team is overrated...its quality chances that count

I think stats on sacks in football is a useful tool,cause it shows how aggressive the defensive line is on the opposing team,..JMO

the stolen base. not worth the risk of getting thrown out. better to take the chance of getting the runner advanced without attempting to steal.
