Arthur Bell, also known as Art Bell was the original owner of Pahrump based radio station KNYE 95.1 FM. And perhaps best known for his conspiracy theory in the paranormal, with his radio show "Coast to Coast" - which was syndicated across the nation.

The Nye County Sheriff's Office says Bell died at his home in Pahrump, Nevada.

Bell is scheduled for an autopsy later this week to determine the cause of death.

He was 72-years-old.

Had the pleasure of getting through one time and talking to Art Bell on air.

Missed him when he retired and miss him now that he’s passed. Great voice for late night radio. Always wished he’d return.

Hope all his curiosity has been addressed on the other side.

Great show and art always seemed like a class act. Always open to everyones opinion and never seemed to judge. Lots of fans callers needed that outlet art, coast to coast is like the island of misfit toys. Show goes beyond simply a show and its a community.

One of the best. The conspiracy theories and paranormal were great to listen too. He made it believable.

One time around ‘98 or ‘99 was listening one night and he went on break. He didn’t come back on air which seemed like the longest time. He finally gets back on air and he said he literally almost just died. He went on break and he was going to step out on his patio for a smoke. He’d forgotten that he was completely in the middle of redoing his whole patio and tore it down. He opened his back door went to take a step and fell. It was funny but not funny. He was pretty shaken up by it I remember but even he found a way to laugh at himself for being stupid.
