I cannot stand Pop, he's an ass, but would never wish this on someone of course. RIP

Anyone happen to catch Lebron interview when they told him about her passing last night? Phony.

Erin Popovich, the wife of San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, died early Wednesday, the team announced. She was 67 and had been battling an illness for an extended period.
The couple was married for four decades and had two children -- Jill and Mickey -- as well as two grandchildren.
"We mourn the loss of Erin," Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said. "She was a strong, wonderful, kind, intelligent woman who provided love, support and humor to all of us."
Erin and Gregg Popovich got married while he worked as an assistant coach at the Air Force Academy from 1973 to 1979. Erin's father, Jim Conboy, was a former athletic trainer for the Falcons.
The Spurs next play Thursday night at home against the Golden State Warriorsin Game 3 of their first-round series. It was not immediately known whether their 69-year-old head coach would be with the team, and the Spurs asked that the media respect the family's privacy.
Warriors forward Kevin Durant learned of Erin Popovich's death shortly after the Spurs released their statement.
"I just want Pop to know that the whole NBA family is supporting him and got his back through it all," Durant said. "It's bigger than the game. It's bigger than winning and losing. It's about the brotherhood we built as NBA players and everybody in the NBA family. I feel so bad for Pop and his family. That's just tough to hear about."
Cavaliers star LeBron James was informed of the news immediately after his team's playoff victory in Cleveland.
James became emotional, telling TNT, "I'm a huge Pop fan. I love Pop. Such a tragedy. My best wishes go out to Pop and his family. That's devastating news. The NBA family ... we all stick together, compete every night. But something like this puts everything in perspective."
Popovich ran the Spurs' practice Wednesday. Assistant coach Ettore Messina would likely lead the Spurs if Popovich were to miss Game 3.

RIP, condolences to POP, an all-time great NBA coach.

As for politics, one should never look to the entertainment industry for guidance

Ettore Messina to coach Spurs in Game 3 vs. Warriors.

Gregg Popovich, whose wife, Erin, died Wednesday, will not coach Game 3 of the San Antonio Spurs' first-round playoff series on Thursday night, the team announced.
Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina will fill in for Popovich against the Golden State Warriors.
Erin Popovich died early Wednesday at the age of 67. She had been battling an illness for an extended period. The couple was married for four decades and had two children -- Jill and Mickey -- as well as two grandchildren.
"We're all suffering a profound loss to a really important member of our family and our team," Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said Thursday. "Erin and Gregg were best friends who were together for 40 years, and Erin's impact and influence on our organization, on our families, on our players and their families will be felt for years to come.
"I spoke to Pop this morning. He's overwhelmed by the support. He's very appreciative of the love that's been shared with our group and with him and his family and Erin's family. As you'd expect from Pop, he wants our focus to be about the game today, about this series, and that's what today will be about. We'll miss Erin a lot, and the focus of our team will be on supporting Pop. But we've got basketball to get back to."
Popovich, who has won five NBA titles since becoming coach in 1996, had run the Spurs' practice Wednesday.
Golden State has a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

RIP Erin Popovich.

I don't like the guy for bringing his politics, which I don't agree with, into the game.

But he has been an excellent coach. And I don't wish death on anybody or their loved ones. The NBA plays 82 plus games. And then starts again the next October. Death is final.

Durants a clown. Lebron far from it though. I've been a lebron fan since he was in high school. I remember staying up late on a school night watching his nba debut vs the kings. Ricky davis was clevelands star player lolol.

Lebron is the man. Yes he is a drama queen tho but still the man.

They're undermanned in this series but +160 is solid IMO. I think they come out with a level of intensity that is going to be tough for GS to match up 2-0. Given their best player chose to take the year off, this is basically their gm 7 of the finals. Try to win it for Pop.

They did some good things in gm 2, got some good looks, just couldn't knock them down. Back at home I think they've live.
