Everyone and their brother on Philly tonight because of Brown being out. I think Philly wins this series but this game 1 may be a sucker play. Boston hasn’t lost at home yet and don’t think it happens tonight either. Boston +4 for me.

Might be the homer in me, but I think the C's win the series. Despite being just as young as the 6'ers, the C's have significantly more playoff experience. They also have an awesome home court advantage, something Philly has never experienced yet. Lastly, they still have plenty of stars and talent left, assuming Brown can play.

They can win one game at home without Brown, but I don't think they can win the series without him. that would be the final straw

It's superstar out not key player, I wouldn't call Brown a superstar. Him missing a game is the same as Smart missing a game.

Well the Line suggested he was a superstar because no reason the Sixers should have been favored in this game. Glad i didn’t fall for it.

you don't have to apologize, you didn't call him a "superstar" and you called it

and the basketball universe thought he was one injury too many for the C's

It's tough to take too much from a game when 1 team shoots 5/26 from 3 and the other shoots 17/36 but if Brown plays then Celts should give Philly all they can handle. IMO Brown is an all star level player, he just hasn't made one yet.

Philly is gonna have problems hiding Redick/Bellinelli on D vs the wing trio of Brown/Rozier/Tatum if he can get back. And Redick is pretty key to their offense, can't just sit or anything.

3 reasons why the line was what it was

1. Brown's injury obviously but also 2. The Celts just played a game 7 48 hours ago and then 3. It is my personal opinion that as a playoff team Milwaukee is >>> Miami and that certainly made Philly look like a million bucks and made the Celts look a little more vulnerable. Miami grinds the regular season well with their depth but they're the least talented team in the playoffs, their best playmaker is Goran Dragic.

Nice call tho

Part of the reason the 6'ers shot poorly and the C's shot great is defense and contested shots. The 6'ers defenders weren't in the same zip code as the C's shooters. Conversely the C's closed out on the 3's attempted by Philly

One thing Philly can't change, overall athleticism, and the C's own that while the 76er's play multiple athletic handicaps. I think Boston should continue to exploit match-up problems.

Philly is going to make adjustments, we'll know more after game 2
