ESPN really seems bent on shaking things up.
In a brand new statement on Thursday morning, the massive sports network announced they were changing their “Monday Night Football” lineup entirely, adding new commentators and switching up its old announcing format.
As “Monday Night Football” goes into its 49th season, ESPN will feature newly retired former Cowboys tight end Jason Witten as an analyst and longtime ESPN commentator Joe Tessitore will take over the play-by-play perspective from the booth. Lisa Salters will report from down on the field. And for the first time ever, longtime NFL defensive tackle Booger McFarland will be MNF’s first ever field-level analyst to give viewers new and different insight into the game.

This new format will debut on Monday, September 10, when the Oakland Raiders play the Los Angeles Rams in Oakland at 7:15 p.m. PST.
“Our new Monday Night Football team shares a passion and respect for the game that will be evident to fans,” Stephanie Druley, ESPN Senior Vice President of Event and Studio Production said. “Joe brings an unrivaled excitement to each broadcast through his play-by-play style. Jason leaves the game with the respect of the entire league. His knowledge and insight will quickly make him one of the most respected analysts in football. Booger’s ability to share candid opinions and insightful observations has made him one of our best analysts. Together, with Lisa, our Emmy-nominated reporter, this team will deliver a fantastic broadcast. We are thrilled to introduce this new team to fans as we begin the latest chapter in MNF’s storied history.”

So the moronic shitheels from ESPN have decided that since their network is failing in every way possible.....

They should reinvent the most successful TV formula in the history of programming.

By the end of the first quarter, they will go down to the sideline and beg Gruden to come to the booth and take over.

Most successful TV formula in history...prime time...and they have two people who have never broadcasted a game before.
