Raptors coach fired?!

I understand that they were expected to do much better than being swept but I'm still a little surprised and dissapointed.

1. Lebron went off and he could make any team look bad when he's playing at that level.

2. Maybe Raptors had high expectations because of Casey doing a great job changing this team's style of play and raising the level of play of the bench.

3. Is it Casey's fault Demar played like absolute horseshit?

I actually thought he was an elite coach. Among the top 10 coaches for sure. But, he came out with the exact same game plan as the Pacers. The pacers matched up better with cleveland than Toronto did, so to adapt the same game plan wasn't going to work. Toronto is just flat out a better team but a lot of their pieces fold vs Lebron. Lowry and Ibaka especially. Ibaka is trash now lol. I honestly was shocked to see someone on Lebron 94 feet. I never understood that, what does that do besides wear your guy out on offense? Do you think Lebron is going to shoot a 75 footer? Guarding any player all the way up the court is stupid imo. I have the keys to stop Lebron, I couldn't do it but I have the right recipe. 90% of the time when he pulls up on a jumper it is from his left hand to right. He is a threat to shoot with the ball in his left hand. Not running anybody 94 feet on him. When he gets the ball facing the basket in any type of clutch situation I am double teaming, but not off of Kyle Korvers man. When he does drive you have to play like the Spurs defense. Everyone active trying to disrupt the shot. He loves going left as much as he loves going right so I would force him right as crazy as that sounds because he can't spin to his dominate hand. Just have to be able to close out well when you play against Lebron because you have to protect the paint to a degree and be able to retreat to shooters. It takes high IQ. Something Toronto doesn't have. Warriors have a lot of it.

I think though Cavs are more interesting this year than last. Kyle Korver imo has really settled in now. It took a year for him to fully adapt and look comfortable. Jeff Green as well. George Hill has been around the block. And Nance and Clarkson are quiet Warrior killers from their Laker days honestly. To me, this year is more interesting than last. Not saying by any means Warriors/Cavs have easy paths in their conference finals matchups. Durant has struggles with Houston because they can throw multiple guys at him and Houston can score with them and defend with them. I expect it to be Cavs/Warriors, but not going to be clean cut for either of them.

How you like my breakdown of defending your boy Lebron?

He`s going back to the finals again.

I hope he doesn`t win it though.

Please no...lol

Imagine that, the NBA COY gets fired the same year he wins the award

Also, Brad Stevens didn't get one vote, but Brett Brown & Doc Rivers did :)

I thought he'd get fired after a dismal post season, yet again. Plus his team quit on him

Stevens should have gotten all the votes. It's incredible how this team listens to him and constantly gives him credit in postgame interviews. The Celtics have played over their heads since he became head coach. Way over the pundit's expectations in view of their injuries.

He should've got it. Coach of the year in the nba is just based on record usually. Team with the best record gets it, they don't consider everything. Brad Stevens is a beast no question about that. But they weren't #1 in the east. I thing I have to give credit to Boston and Danny Ainge is they have a group of athletes who all look like basketball players. They just have basketball bodies. Guys who can do everything. Marcus Smart is more than just defense. They have the worse of the Morris twins but this one has been on fire towards the end of the regular season and the first round. He had a decent round vs Philly. Got to give credit to their front office.

Spot on. Danny Ainge filled his roster with coachable basketball players.

Ainge / Stevens is gonna be a solid partnership for a long time.

Quinn deserves major credit as well with what he did with the Jazz considering what they came into the season with in terms of star players. He is a damn good coach.
