PUNTER

Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:

Colorado Rockies @ San Diego Padres
The Rockies love affair with Unders bettors has continued to ring true this season and this is a great spot to back just that. German Marquez steps to the mound for the Rockies and while his record has been a mixed bag this season, his form on the road has been sublime. The 23-year-old owns a 1.96 ERA away from Coors Field this season and is 2-1 in his career against the Padres. San Diego’s offence continues to struggle in its own right, with the team averaging just 3.71 runs per game on the year. In fact, they’ve averaged just 2.25 runs per game in their last four starts against Colorado. In their last seven home games the team has managed just 19 runs – 10 of those came in two games against the Cardinals. The Padres relief pitching has remained among the best in the majors this season (3.26 ERA) and that should help them again in this bounce back spot. The visitors have failed to score more than three runs in a game after hitting 4+ in their previous outing dating back to last month and we expect them again to fall short with the bats here. We have a slight lean on San Diego in the head to head market but our data is pointing to a low-scoring affair here with a combined 6.2 runs being scored.

Tip: Under 7.5 runs @ $1.92 (Unibet)

Chicago White Sox @ Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates will look to kick off their home series with the White Sox in positive fashion as they send Trevor Williams to the mound. The 26-year-old has slipped up after a hot start to the year but should feel confident in returning to pitch on his home field. Meanwhile, Chicago will hope they can get some more production from Reynaldo Lopez who is 0-2 on the year despite owning the best ERA on the roster. The White Sox own the worst ERA in the majors for starting pitchers (5.78) and while Lopez has given them a couple strong outings the issue also lies with their relief options. When it comes to playing at home, the Pirates hitters are among the best in the league. They average 5.61 runs per game at PNC Park where the team has 7-1 in their last eight. This game will set us up nicely for Game 2 of the series so we’ll lock this in now even if it is at shorter odds.

Tip: Pittsburgh Pirates @ $1.66 (Unibet)

Milwaukee Brewers @ Arizona Diamondbacks
Both sides will send their form pitchers to the mound as the Diamondbacks look to bounce back from their shock loss in the series opener. Zack Greinke has been very good in his last two starts despite not earning a decision in either of them. The veteran right-hander has allowed just two runs in just over 12 innings pitched and will feel confident of getting the job done once again at home. Meanwhile, Jhoulys Chacin comes in to this one in some fine form himself as he’s gone 3-0 in his last five starts. He gave up just two runs in his last start against the Rockies and owns a respectable 3.48 career ERA against the Diamondbacks in 17 appearances against them. While Milwaukee’s offence has found some rhythm this past week we feel this game should see less fireworks than some may anticipate. Both sides allow less than 3.5 runs per game and if both pitchers can get comfortable early we could see a real grinding affair in Arizona.

Tip: Under 8.5 runs @ $1.82 (1.5 units)
