Our kids are already slaves to technology. Now they can attend public cyber schools?

Who would have their kid do this? Are they going to play cyber basketball and football?

A lot of kids are already being home schooled. How's this different?

Personally I think kids need to experience the social aspect of it so they can adjust to the real world and not become antisocial awkward weirdos.

Yeah, also the sports. That's a big part of it. American kids are too fat already nevermind if they weren't getting mandatory exercise at school. I shudder to think of it. Cyber classroom all day then sit and play video games all evening. Terrible. I don't see why any parent would want to educate their kids like this.

According to the Dept. of Education, 3.4% of school aged kids are home schooled so I'm not sure I'd consider that a lot. But, to answer your questions, at least the kids taking cyber classes are taught by licensed educators.

A high school drop out could be homeschooling their child and there's no problem with it according to the states.
