Why the Orioles on Thursday at +150...The O's open Thursday's four game set against the Red Sox in Fenway after winning five out of their last seven games. The O's are playing good ball right now averaging 7.4 RPG in that stretch with a .282 BA/.332 OBP. The Orioles offense also sees an uptick in their numbers against LHP where they average 5.4 RPG to go with a .263 BA/.337 OBP and 18 HRs. Kevin Gausman takes the ball for Baltimore who has posted a 1.23 era over his last 22 IP where he allowed 18 hits on 16 Ks, 5 BBs and 1 HR. Looking into Gausman's last start against the Rays, he saw his aFBv increase from 91.9 mph in his previous start to 93.9 mph (SA 92.8 mph). Gausman also saw an uptick in his aSLv, which jumped from 79.2 mph to 82 mph (SA 80 mph) as well as a jump in his aSFv which made the jump from 82 mph to 84 mph (SA 82 mph). With a 22% SF% usage in his last start, we will back the jump in velocity and back Guasman in this road start where he brings a 1.80 road era through 20 IP where he has allowed 16 hits on 3 BBs and 2 HRs. In his career pitching IN Fenway, Gausman has posted a respectable 3.68 era over 36 IP where he has allowed 28 hits on 33 Ks, 13 BBs and 2 HRs. This Red Sox lineup has a combined 211 ABs off of Gausman with a .227 BA/.294 OBP. The Red Sox are coming off of a high-leverage 6-4 win where they had to use four relievers including Kelly and Kimbrel. With a 4-3 record over their last seven games, the Red Sox offensive numbers have taken a dip where they are averaging 4.6 RPG with a .250 BA/.292 OBP. The Sox will send David Price to the bump who hasn't fared so well as of late, posting an 8.59 era over his last 14 IP where he allowed 19 hits on 15 Ks, 8 BBs and 3 HRs. Price hasn't shown home success either where he brings an 0-2 record with a 5.93 era over 13 IP where he allowed 14 hits on 11 Ks, 9 BBs and 3 HRs. This Orioles lineup has a combined 309 ABs off of Price to go with a .269 BA/.317 OBP and 10 HRs.

GL Sixer, trying to find a silver bullet to put in the Glock for this one. Ya didn't mention, although alluded to, that Price is 4-9 at home against the O's.
