Former college football player and current State Representative Jason Powell already has a bill that would change Tennessee's constitution to allow it.

</figure></aside>Powell told News 2 that he plans to bring it up again next session in January.Memphis Republican Senator Brian Kelsey plans his own bill.
"So I tweeted out to my followers that should we take a look at this (issue) and the overwhelming response was 'absolutely,' said Senator Brian Kelsey. "So, based on that response, I have agreed to move forward and bring legislation next year."
He also envisions how sports betting might look in Tennessee.
"I'm still listening to Tennesseans on what they want," said Kelsey. "But my first thoughts are that we could have physical locations in downtown Nashville and downtown Memphis and they could also have online platforms to do betting over online phone apps."
We can expect this will also to be an issue for those running for governor.

Interesting being they don't have a casino. Seems backwards but I'm not complaining.
