I know most gamblers only recall the "bad beats" and tend not to recall when they are on the right side of these things, but man, why do things like what I will post below always seem to happen or happen alot more than the reverse?

So I have done very well for myself over the years in baseball. Yes I am + $$$$. Thus far, the MLB season has not been kind to me, so yesterday I did my normal capping and wrote in my note book my plays as I do every single day....only yesterday I decided to NOT actually wager on any of the games. Sure as shit, I would have went 8-0 (4 of them being dogs).....why do the gambling Gods do this?

This is the reason. You wager then you lose. You dont wager but would have won. In these two instances you feel bad. It is a never ending cycle of never being happy.

not the gambling gods but God himself/herself is the ultimate bookmaker and he is a bit of a sadist to boot. imho when i combine those two opinions i am satisfied that i have solved the riddle which you have presented . however, if that is not satisfactory then the old "life is a bitch" explanation may do.

The question is, did you know that you weren't going to bet before you made your selections.

When one is a good handicapper and loose good results happen over the long run. Knowing that you were not betting would by definition make you a "loose" handicapper. Maybe relaxed is a better word. In your "comfort" zone in terms of money bet. Can't be more comfortable than no money bet.

When one is tight, for whatever reason, they will always gravitate to the "safer" pick(s) which is inevitably the wrong pick(s).

Happens to all of us. Don't think it's a conspiracy of the God or Gods.

no, I capped as I normally do. Most days I do not come up with 8 things I like. Just so happened to be 8 yesterday. Then I decided I was gonna take a day off and see how I would have done because I did not want to lose any more money.
