    Hi

Will try and pick some winners in the run to the FO.

I started following tennis after the tanking and playoff positioning season starting in the NBA. I don't understand baseball or hockey betting, and its ages before football starts.

I mainly follow women's tennis as I think there are a lot of softer lines, and have been have a pretty lucky run so far.

    Anyway

For record keeping assume I am betting the amount to win $100, in practice I use Kelly for bet sizing. Lines are all from Pinny.

I have no intention of going tout or making money from posting, but I would be happy if there is any good discussion.

    Trnvava Final

    Kuzmova -141

    Nurnberg Rd 1

    Saisai Zheng +116

Has been playing on one leg in China, has had 2 weeks off and if fully recovered should be too consistent for McHale.

    Petkovic +109

Mailed it in at Trnava after being up 3-0 in first set, they had rain delays and it looks like she didn't want to play the 2 games in one day and they then travel to Nurnberg.

    Strasbourg Rd 1

    Buzarnescu -185

Coming off 3 losses to very good players, should be too string for Linette and some value even at -185

Kuzmova and Buza got there. Saisai took too long to adjust to the clay and McHale played pretty good.

    Record

    2-1

    +113 ROI 28%

    Petkovic still to play

    Zhang mailed it in.

Begu retired mid 2nd set which sadly counts as a loss.

    Stosur won

    Petkovic put back until tomorrow

    So record now

    3-3

    -251 ROI -23%

The Begu match hurt, lost the first set but was up 3-0 in the 2nd set before retiring with what appeared to be a stomach problem.

I actually took Stollar....but didn't get a chance to post this morning.

Just an FYI.....try to stay away from high favorites in WTA. This may sound sexist, but u definitely can't trust the Women compared to the Men's when it comes to tennis.

    It'll kill bankroll.

    No bets tonight.

I think the girls are looking ahead to the FO. Nurnberg has had rain disrupting the schedule. I'm sure they would all prefer to get into Paris tomorrow rather than at the last minute.

I may have a small bet on Buza but only for rooting interest. I lean Cibulkova. But I never bet on leans......

Cibulkova beat her the only time they played about 12 years ago when juniors. Cibulkova went onto bigger and better things Buza not so much. I think Buza would like the win more, and needs the court time after missing a couple of weeks. She has a soft draw for first 2 rounds King ranked 1100 and then Su-Wei who she just destroyed. Cibulkova has Georges first up and will be a big dog so would probably like to take the points and cash here if she can.

Anyway looks like we are on to Roland Garros.

Should be a few decent upsets and a lot of public money so I will be trying to catch the early lines for the favorites and being patient to bet the dogs.

So not a great result for the week but at least not down. If Begu had got the win it would have been OK.

I'll start a new thread for Roland Garros and carry the record forward.

Thanks Indy, hopefully I'll get a bit better as well.

I'm only picking ML atm and don't really understand the handicapping of games but am working on it.
