The Nationals have called up one of their top, and youngest, prospects as the team's starting lineup continues to be plagued by injury.
After Howie Kendrick ruptured his Achilles, ending his 2018 season, Washington called up 19-year-old outfielder Juan Soto.

On top of Kendrick's injury, the Nationals are also missing Matt Wieters, Ryan Zimmerman, Daniel Murphy, Adam Eaton and Brian Goodwin.
Soto signed with the Nationals at 16 and has worked his way up through the farm system, most recently playing for Double-A Harrisburg. He's the first teenaged player to start with the Nationals since Bryce Harper.
In eight games with Double-A Harrisburg, he had a .981 OPS and two home runs.
Soto will make his debut Sunday, when the Nats take on the Dodgers in the series finale.
