Yeah my theory is mainly for the game spread though.
-8.5 home game, where it opened, I consider a lot of the times a -9 home line for the theory. It's close enough. I wasn't not on the ML though with how it dropped. Just spread. But wasn't surprised one bit they won tonight with how the line was when it opened. 8.5 is sometimes the same you just got to get a feel for the game.
