This game will not define Lebron's whole career but it is a crucial test. Michael Jordan would never allow his Bulls to lose in this situation. I know it's going to be difficult. Boston is a very strong defensive team at home. No Kyrie no excuses for Lebron though. He has to win this.

Lebron supporters like to say that Air Jordan had Pippen. Well, Pippen didn't really become a top 50 player until later on after about 3 seasons. After playing with and against Jordan. Jordan made Pippen. Anybody that thinks otherwise is clueless. You get better in video games and sports by playing people better than you. That's fact. Pippen was scrimmaging against the best player in the world.

Lebron meanwhile has had established superstar Kyrie, Dwayne Wade (this beast already won a ring without Lebron), even Kevin Love, Bosh (meh) Ray Allen etc. I mean this guy had more all stars and help than Jordan. Jordan once scored 45 points out of about 88 (or something, I know it was under 90) in a playoff win when Scottie was sick and only scored 8 points! The man does not let his team lose! The first season he got a decent sidekick he won a championship. Lebron gets Wade and Bosh etc and he couldn't win it. Little Barea got his first ring off Lebron.

Jordan had to fight battles against 50+ win teams just to get to the Finals. Lebron always had a cakewalk to the Finals or at least to the conference finals. All the superstars he's had and he only has 3 rings. He should've won that Finals against Mavs. No excuse there.

Nomore excuses about not having enough help. I don't care if Kevin Love is out. Lebron has been playing amazing. Almost seemingly getting better at his age when others would be slowing down and getting worse. He is shooting better than I've ever seen. He's passing, rebounding and at times he's so dominant that he is toying with his opponents, especially the Raptors lol. But he has to win this game with no Kyrie.

I don't know why people compare him to Air Jordan. I can see why they'd compare Kobe to Jordan but Lebron? Forget it. Lebron loses this game and it makes the argument even more comical. Winning it doesn't get the argument merit though. Only thing that will give it one iota of merit is if he beats this stacked Warriors team and that will never happen.

Lebron will never be close to Jordan. It wasn't just about Jordan being better. Jordan has charisma and this intensity about him. He had this aura about him. He left you mystified. Lebron has been doing some amazing things this season but he has to win this game or it's all for naught.

Why does Lebron always get such high expectations? Well he's the self proclaimed best player in the world. (he is) He's already tooting his own horn. Always tweeting about how he ages like fine wine after a great performance. He's a linebacker size playing that position on the court so he SHOULD be dominating.

This is it. Lebron is the most cerebral player in the game. Physically dominant and he's been shooting better than ever. Let's see what he does in a very tough environment today.

I really don't know if Lebron can win this. He should but if his role players absolutely shit the bed which is quite possible on the road against a good defense then who knows.

I am guess he doesn't vanish like he did against Mavs.

This is a very high point total but I believe Lebron isn't taking any chances tonight! He's going to put it in his own hands and put up a monster game. I know it's a very high total but....

LEBRON JAMES - OVER 37.5 POINTS

That's the pick. I'm going big. I was hoping it would be 35 or 36 but I'll take it.

I posted this here because it's not just a pick it's a discussion about his legacy. I know that no matter what the outcome we will have plenty to say about the result and his performance.

So Lebron is going to throw the game tonight so he doesn't tarnish his legacy in the finals. Now I've officially heard it all.

I disagree. People can understand being swept or beat down by a stacked Warriors team. People will not understand not being able to beat this young Celtics team as good as they are without their megastar player.

Also, I don't think it's in him to throw this. Doubt he wants to go out like this. He's bring it tonight believe me.

It’s not that he’s gonna throw it .. he’s just not gonna persevere .. back of his mind hoping he loses in Boston
will be front office fault for trading Kyrie forcing his overuse .. also teammates inability to step up blah blah blah
it will be forgotten quickly .. he loses in the finals and what does that make his record look like vs Jordan’s ?

True fans of the sport will always remember that he lost to a Celtics team without Kyrie. Lebron is one of the smartest athletes out there in terms of perceiving situations and in game strategy and he loves selling his brand. He knows the importance of winning this game. This WILL tarnish his career.

People will remember this if he loses. Believe me. So will Lebron. Lebron is very conscientious of the implications of losing tonight.

Tonight is a big game.

My guess is Celtics win. I want to bet Celtics. I truly believe they stifle Cavs role players and Lebron's epic performance won't be enough. But I'm stick with the bet I made.

Man, I can't wait for this game.

You know what sucks? No matter who wins this game the Finals will be boring if Warriors beat Rockets which they probably will.

BUT

Are we forgetting something? Rockets have a chance to beat Warriors at home especially if Chris Paul comes back. Lebron knows this.

So now let's envision a scenario where Chris Paul comes back for game 7 in Houston. They somehow upset Warriors which is very possible. When this Houston team is healthy and on they are virtually unbeatable.

Now Cavs are facing Rockets. Also a team that is capable of destroying the Cavs but much more beatable than the Warriors. Chris Paul can very easily tweak something again during the course of the Finals against Cavs. Now you have a more vulnerable team.

Lebron is going all out in this game tonight. He knows there's a chance Rockets beat Warriors and I feel that he believes he has much better shot at the Rockets rather than Curry, Thompson and Durant and company.

He's going all out tonight believe me. Not once will he consider dropping this game to avoid being swept/beatdown in the Finals.

I'm not saying Rockets can't destroy Cavs. I'm just saying if I'm Lebron I'd rather face Rockets by far.

I'm rooting for Rockets to win. Tonight I think I want Cavs to win just to see Lebron play in the Finals. I'll enjoy continuing to watch his uncanny performances yet rooting for the Rockets. I never thought I'd say this but I'd actually be rooting for Lebron if it's the Warriors. I can't stand Durant.

No. Lebron is not throwing this game to avoid Warriors. that's absurd. We can't know for sure it will be the Warriors. Lebron knows this. You WILL see Lebron's 100% effort. I'm not saying they will win but he will bring it.

My only concern is that tonight is a very low scoring game which is possible. Making it difficult to hit this high total over 39 points but I'm hoping there's at least 100 points scored by Cavs. That should be good enough to hit 39pts.

My man no disrespect but I adamantly disagree with you. Lebrons haters and analysts will crucify him for losing to the Celtics tonight that are missing Kyrie Irving. Lebron knows this. I'm telling you he is competitive.

In the back of his mind, front of his mind whatever and wherever he is not wanting to lose this game. He believes there's a legit chance Rockets win. He believes there's a legitimate chance he can beat the Rockets especially if Chris Paul plays in game 7 and wins but tweaks hamstring again at some point in the finals.

This is not that far fetched. I think you are forgetting how phenomenal Lebron has been playing this season. He's not packing it in. He truly believes and understands show talented and dominant he is.

Jordan played 15 seasons......Lebron has played 15 as well.......

Jordan been to 6 finals & won all 6.......Lebron been to 8 finals & won 3......no comparison now, & his legacy won't be any worse off if he loses one more.

I was gonna mention the Montana to Brady comparison but left it to basketball.

I also think Montana with 4 SB wins out of 4 appearances can't be duplicated, or should I say, its gonna be very hard w/o losing one.

Brady 5 SB wins out of 8 appearances & IMO, he lost twice to the most over rated Qb to ever win 2 SB's, & to a back up Qb Nick Foles.

If Brady & the Patriots would have went 19-0 & won the SB, would be a different story.

With Brady mainly losing to a back up Qb, IMO, & losing the undefeated season, Montana is #1, Brady #2
