Anyone cooking this way? Game changer. Basically it's a device that heats up a water bath and holds the temp exactly. Vacuum seal your food with marinade/spices and cook it underwater. Then finish in cast iron.

Food is absolutely perfectly done every time.

The model I have is controlled with an app on your phone. I can start the water heating before I even get home.

Maybe one of the best things is you can cook meat from frozen with absolutely no degradation in quality. I have a bunch of steaks and pork chops bagged up individually in the freezer - makes for a great quick meal during the week.

This thing is awesome, if you have ever considered buying one just pull the trigger.

Look at the picture of the filet. It's impossible via any other method to get that consistent level of doneness all the way through the cut. Edge to edge it's exactly perfectly done.

Bullshit,I did it just last night by hand, myself, and I’ll do it again just the same,tonight...

I know you’re just helping to hype this new toy. ;) All good, glad you’re experiencing and enjoying some good eats.

Must admit, this thing would be a waste of counterspace in my household...

a) I'm not hyping it, it's not like I'm getting kickbacks
b) I have never been able to get steak consistent all the way through, and I consider myself a good cook. I challenge you to create something that looks like post #5 via some other method. Pics or it didn't happen.
c) I break it down between cooks and it lives in my cabinet. No counter space wasted :)

It’s great for hotels or restaurants doing huge volume. Can have the steaks, chicken, fish ready to go with a quick touch up on a Char grill or flattop to feed 50-250

With Mike here.

I grill. The way the meat is cooked on the outside is just as important as how the meat is cooked on the inside.

Charred outside with red center is always my target.

And I never want to wait an hour and a half or more for my meal unless it's a big piece of meat in the oven and I can smell it.

Veggies on the grill are great too - charred.

90 minutes tops

I take it slow cooking is not your thing?

no idea just looked at some YouTube vids that said hours

sure if it’s prepared ahead of time and you plan it out right while doing other things can see some benefits
