We all know that in this country we now live in that Roseanne would get a severe reprimand for that comment.
But what I want to know is what is the limitation of comment when referring to someone who is white? What comment to or about a white person would get a similar draconian reaction?
Because I think there's something intrinsically unfair about what is considered acceptable and unacceptable speech or writing.
As far as I'm concerned all people should be able to express anything that they feel. Honesty works best. Then we can sort things out individually. Not by some foggy dictum from those who define righteousness in speech or writing. Who are these people anyway?
