Wall mart sells them to 21 and over. Not sure that really fixes the problem. Aren't there some 19/20 year olds living on their own? Can't buy protection for your home? I think that's fucked up.
The worst are the gun shows. Private sellers. But if dude can go 5 mins from school to buy an AR-15, legally. They need to do something about that.
That means nothing. You know other states connect to those right? You ever heard of gun runners? They move guns from states where they can get them cheap to states where the gun runners can make money. The demand for a gun in Chicago is high. So they might make it $500 for something that cost $300. They need to do a federal ban.
Look at other countries....It's working a lot better than it is here.
Japan has more than 127 million people and rarely sees more than 10 gun deaths per year. And to get a gun in Japan you have to go through a boat load of shit to be licensed.
The Australian government paid citizens to sell their guns to them. Their rate of gun deaths declined.
Norway has demonstrated more of a social cohesion and trust amongst their government and citizens. They have a ratio of like 50-2 with prisioners and guards in some prisons in Norway.
An analysis in 2015 found that the number of fatal shootings by police in Norway in the past nine years was less than the number of fatal shootings by US police officers in one day.
And really just all of Europe as well. U.K., France
