Lol, punk's law firm claimed he had 15 lawyers working round the clock to go through the government's evidence. Guess he'd better take out another home equity loan. He wanted mid July, the judge wasn't moved. Brain dead clown was to cheapor stupid-to get a shredder that actually shredded the evidence that he was trying to destroy, and the Feds are piecing together that evidence. Whatta putz...

Michael Cohen’s lawyers have until mid-June to review documents, judge says

NEW YORK—A federal judge in Manhattan on Wednesday ordered lawyers for Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s longtime fixer, to complete within two weeks their review of a huge trove of documents and data that the FBI seized from him last month and that prosecutors are eager to use in their continuing investigation of Cohen.Judge Kimba M. Wood said that if the lawyers did not meet her June 15 deadline, she would allow the government to take control of the review, which is to determine whether any of the seized paperwork or electronic files should be protected under lawyer-client privilege belonging to Trump.
Until now, a court-appointed special master has been overseeing scrutiny of the materials with Cohen’s lawyers, but Wood suggested in a hearing in U.S. District Court that the process was moving too slowly.
“It’s important for the court to balance the slow, deliberate needs of those who are asserting attorney-client privilege,” Wood said, “with the needs for an investigation to go forward.”
On Tuesday night, the special master, Barbara S. Jones, reported to the judge that more than one million files from three of Cohen’s cellphones would be turned over to the government Wednesday after lawyers for Cohen and Trump had determined that they contained no privileged information. About 300,000 additional files were turned over to prosecutors last week.

Among the items not yet cleared for release, a prosecutor said in court Wednesday, were two BlackBerry phones and the contents of one of Cohen’s shredders. A total of eight boxes of documents, about a dozen cellphones, iPads and computers, and 19 hard drives and thumb drives were seized April 9 when federal agents raided Cohen’s office, apartment and hotel room.
For months now, authorities have been investigating whether Cohen violated the law in his wide-ranging business deals, including hush-money payments that he made to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump — among them Stephanie Clifford, a former pornographic film star better known as Stormy Daniels. No criminal charges have been filed.
