What are the odds Trump gets re-elected?

I didn't vote for him, but I like what he's done. I lean liberal, but think I'm independent. I wish like hell he wouldn't tweet like a 14-year girl but he does. Wish he would keep his mouth shut, but he won't. He has no diplomacy--zilch. C'mon you are the president. But I still feel better with him in there than I would have with H. Clinton, whom I reluctantly voted for. So I just bet a friend $100 that Trump will be re-elected. He isn't a big liberal, but thinks Trump's act will get very old, very soon. I bet him even up. So what do we make Trump? (Don't like to type this, but all bets are based on him surviving and running.

I'm not a Trump fan or supporter, but if he chooses to run I don't see him losing. The Democrats are clueless.

It's the economy stupid.

This

Up until 2012 it was relatively easy to predict who wins. A good economy, the incumbent party wins, and bad economy and they lose. A simplified and watered down argument I'm making here and now, but essentially true.

If the economy continues to grow and does so at increasing rates, if manufacturing jobs continue to increase, if companies continue to increase their investment in this country as opposed to abroad, if real wages and disposable income continue to increase, if business and consumer confidence remains high, he's winning.

I don't like how he acts or reacts on social platforms, I wish he wouldn't give our criminal corrupt colluding liberal media ammunition to use against him in a sensationalizing and hyperbolic fashion, but he just can't seem to avoid shooting himself in the foot.

On the policy front, he's a dream come true. He's implementing and / or advocating all the policies I've been talking about for 30 years.

Lower taxes to spur growth
Fewer regulations to encourage investment and spur growth
Pro business environment to encourage risk taking and spur growth

Our strength is all based on economic growth and strong businesses, not an ever increasing federal bureaucracy

Other stuff I love

Securing the borders and then talking about real immigration reform, a path to citizenship or "normalization" of some sort. But nothing can or should be done until the borders are secure. (his position on immigration is far different than what the lying media sells us)

Banning late term abortions, when the baby can survive outside the womb I believe it has constitutional rights

I think he won't stop the legalization a marijuana process (although he may force enforcement of existing federal laws if Congress doesn't do anything)

I think he won't sign any bill that prohibits states from having sports gambling

The only thing I strongly advocate which I don't think he's talked about is the gradual privatization of social security.

PS: I also think all the pro-growth policies I love work especially well after a decade of economic malaise. The economy is dying to bust out, companies are ready to invest, people are ready to spend. It's like they've been cooped up and they're finally seeing freedom

The Democrats are too far left as a group and I don't agree with much of their agenda. I do believe that Hillary Clinton, PERSONALLY, was the biggest reason Trump won. The Republicans are too far to the other extreme. Neither party represents my views across the board.

I think Trump wins again in 2020, & if he does, the liberals & the mainstream media will absolutely lose their minds beyond what we've seen.

Curious to see how the Midterms go this November. If the Republicans win, then the Democrats will throw a lame duck out there. If the Democrats win, you'll hear of a "hot new person" who is going to take over.

Remember, Obama starting getting crazy hype right after the November 2006 midterm elections.

I thought Trump had ZERO chance in 2016. I give him a 50/50 shot now as he's proven that he can pull a rabbit out of a hat. The 2 major differences will be 1) How many Trump in the 16 election voters in swing states will vote Democrat. 2) How many people who voted a different party in 16 will vote democrat?

democrats should try to find a viable candidate to run against him but they are too caught up in trying to impeach him. democrats never have their shit together and even though there are a lot of dumb voters there are plenty of people who follow the issues. hillary couldnt have been a worse candidate, never should have even had a shot at it.
