I've seen this before... but never at such a stage.

I might have to check which university he attended because there's probably a 10% he can read past an 8th grade level.

Simply amazing.

I still can't believe that the Cavs won a championship 2 years ago with this idiot JR Smith on the roster. That will never happen again.

George Hill misses a FT to put the Cavs up by one and everyone is riding JR Smith. I can't stand the dude either but really?...

And they got the charge call right....Lebron slid over and hip checked KD, he wasn't even close to set. The charge rule is so bad, glad they had some common sense with that call.

i think it was a block but to review it to see if it was a charge is crazy. you can only review it to check if he was in the circle and then review the whole play. he wasnt even close to the circle so they shouldnt have been reviewing it in the first place.

The JR Smith play was an iconic Leon Lett-esque blunder so of course that’s what people are going to talk about. Guys miss FTs all the time to lose games.

Hill’s miss hurt their win probability more but not surprising JR play gonna be talked about more.

Oh yea, refs shouldn't have changed the call. But so glad they did.

And he lied to reporters saying he knew the game was tied LOL.

Hills FT was a bigger choke job. They only way you get an offensive rebound on a FT in the NBA is when the shot is so poor it bounces off like that.

If George Hill makes FT I still think Warriors win game. With 4.7 seconds left and a timeout they figure to get a real good shot or get fouled to put a player on the line. The Smith blunder was worse because he runs away from basket thinking they had the game won. He was in a position to drive and score the winning shot. Cavs still covered the spread but those last second plays affected the second half line and in game wagering.

To be fair Steve Javie said that he thought it was a charge after watching the replay.

Thats the problem, its like the catch no catch in the NFL.

Just state a player has to be positioned and not moving to take a charge. James clearly wasn't, but the rule can be interpreted differently I guess.

If Hill hits the FT, Cavs probably go to about 75-80% to win the game.

When he misses and Smith gets s the rebound, they’re probably like 35% in that split second. He wasn’t in position to score at all. He’s JR Smith, only time he is in position to score is on a 3 pointer.

Then in OT they’re down to like 25%. The Hill miss was clearly the bigger play.

I'd rate it higher than 35% More like 50-50

Smith gets the ball and Durant is about a foot to his left and he goes right, Smith could have quickly turned and banked the ball in. They may have panicked and fouled him too.

I think the best comparison to what JR Smith did last night is to what Webber did in the NC.
