Hats
are the most popular giveaways for the teams.

Rainbow-colored hats are the giveaway of choice for 11 Major League Baseball teams that have LGBT Pride games this season.

The Blue Jays, Braves, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Padres, Pirates, Rays, Reds,Marlins and Twins are all giving Pride hats to people who buy a ticket to their game. This is the first year the Reds are having a Pride night.

The Brewers, Cardinals and Dodgers have shirts with a rainbow theme, the Athletics and Mariners have wearable Pride flags and the Giants have a backpack. The other seven teams with Pride nights have not specified what, if any, their giveaway will be.

In a design sense, my favorite hats are the Blue Jays, Pirates and Reds. While adding rainbow colors can be an LGBT cliche, when married with something traditional like baseball caps, they add a fresh look to iconic logos, some that have been around more than a century.

Here is a gallery of the 11 hats (plus the shirts etc.) and we want your opinion on the one hat you would most want. (If you can’t see the poll below, click here).

Note: This poll does include the Marlins hat since it was not available at press time.

I am not against the community at all as I have a ton of friends who are in it. However it does bother me how the message of accepting their beliefs is pushed upon on you on almost every avenue. Even some of my LGBT friends admit that they don't think it is right how it is forced out there so much as it makes them feel uncomfortable & they find it unnecessary.

This reminds me of a story I saw on the local news tonight about a Christian Church in Lower Manhattan (Trinity Wall Street) which had an event on Friday raising the LGBT flag for Pride Month. Even though I do not subscribe to any religion, I could not help but feel bothered by seeing that.

We'll never have a judgement free society as long as we keep making the differences between us such an issue

And the only people that don't get to have some day or some privilege just for them is white men, because that would be racist or sexist or something like that
