As a racing fan, always great to see an opportunity for a triple crown winner and part of me would love to see it again. But as a handicapper of the sport, I personally don’t think he hits the board and it should be a great opportunity for some big payouts.

What odds are we expecting on Justify?

I'm expecting 8/5 - 2-1 range.

Handicappers aren't as stupid as many people think. That horse was beat in the Preakness if the race went another 1/16 of a mile. The Belmont will be 5/16 of a mile more than the Preakness. If there is a horse to run with him into the stretch, the way Good Magic did, he will be beat.

Justify will not win the Belmont,as seen in the previous races, you can see horses catching up to him and here is where he tires and gets passed by a fresh horse as Bas said, and one who loves the longer distance

Yeah he was beat,:):)but he won the race.

Maybe Mike Smith the G.O.A.T. knows how to rate a horse.

Dumb post award w-thumbs!^

1/4 Mile splits for Justify in Derby and Preakness.

Derby...22.44, 23.66, 25.20, 26.05, 26.85

Preakness...23.11, 24.08, 24.23, 24.68, 19.83(3/16M)

Note that each split in each race was slower than the previous. Even with the much slower fractions in the Preakness, his final 1/4 would have been over 26 with horses gaining at the end in both races. He was really tiring in the Preakness and I don’t think he has enough in the tank to hold off a talented group of fresher horses. It will take a monstrous effort for him to win.
