Hard to believe, TSA patting down a 96 year old woman in a wheelchair at Dulles airport in DC

A video of a 96-year-old woman being forced to endure a 'prolonged and repetitive' pat-down by airport security in Virginia has gone viral - and left many questioning why such behavior was necessary in the first place.
Jeanne LaBrier Clarkson posted a six minute video of her mother at Washington Dulles International Airport on May 15.
'The 3 of us were all in wheelchairs. Only my 96-year-old mother was subjected to this prolonged, repetitive search,' Clarkson said in the video that has been viewed just under 9 million times.

Why shouldn't this lady be checked? If a white kid that has his whole life ahead of him and still shoots up a school (time and time again) and kills himself then why shouldn't a 96 year old lady that has nothing to lose not be checked?

Mental illness is running rampant. There's no story here. Check the brown guy with the turban as often as the 96 year old white lady in a wheelchair of often as the white businessman in his 40's carrying a briefcase. That's how it works. That's how it should work.

No. I'm serious man. These days I don't put anything past anybody. With everything going on, I want everybody searched. This lady too. There's going to be delays at airports in today's world anyways so might as well be thorough. I want her searched. What if a terrorist slips something on her and she's so old or senile that she doesn't realize?

I don't believe in racial profiling because as far as I'm concerned, again with all the school shootings etc, skin color means nothing. Everybody is an equal threat.

Now this lady herself obviously or most probably isn't going to engage in terrorist activity but she has to be searched. She's on a wheelchair. She's 96. A terrorist could slip something on her or even detach a small part of her wheelchair and attach a replacement with a device on it. Is that so far fetched?

Search everybody. Aside from 9/11 it's been white guys shooting up schools and then there's Vegas. Who's to say they don't one day decide to attack airports or planes?

Search em all.

at that age she probably has a caregiver and could be unwillingly smuggling something. Happens at the boarder all the time. And at the banks, the so called caregiver's would wheel in the old folks to cash their social security checks. Sick people out there.

Of course profiling makes sense, just ask Israel. They live in the most dangerous area, and have zero issues at the airports.

Our airport security is cosmetic, it's an illusion.

I would hire Israelis to retrain Homeland security.

Our biggest obstacle to overcome is that victimhood mentality. People don't know how to keep things in perspective. They always think somebody is being wronged, and only the fucking idiots want to see as many 90byear old grandmothers screened as 20 year old middle eastern men
