JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Sports betting will now be legal at casinos in Mississippi.

The Mississippi Gaming Commission voted Thursday to approve sports betting regulations, which will go into effect in 30 days.

The U.S. Supreme Court struck down a federal law last month that barred gambling on football, basketball, baseball and other sports in most states. In 2017, Mississippi changed its law to allow sports betting as part of a bill legalizing and regulating fantasy sports.

Because the law was already on the books, the commission was able to take quick action on presenting proposed regulations. Under the approved regulations, casinos will pay state and local taxes worth 12 percent of the wagers minus payouts. Bets can only be taken in casinos.

A representative of the PGA spoke after the vote, saying the regulations fall short and need to be expanded to prevent what he terms as potential “manipulation” if using official sports league data is not required.

We'll have much more on this story later today.

I only know the Beau Rivage and it's nice. If you are a MGM player and have their Players card from Any of their places they will hook you up
otherwise the room prices are on the High side and maybe because of what 8ate said, that they are the only ones left or up and running
but as a MLife player you can get a much better deal
I always get there mailing offer to fly me out there plus room for 3 nights

Louisiana is so dumb for not voting this in...and I don't think it was even close.

Shreveport would have got all the DFW business...and NOLA would have just gotten even more business...Harrahs

That was quite a long time ago man.
There are at least 12 casinos in Biloxi .

And I would say at least 10 sports books not counting the 3 in nearby bay St. Louis .

Ive been to these so far

Hollywood Sports book Bay St Louis
Gold Nugget (William Hill) Biloxi
Beau Rivage (mgm I think) Biloxi
Treasure Bay Biloxi
Harrahs (Biloxi)
Hard Rock Biloxi

I will visit the rest on my next trip .

The best one by far of the above is the Gold Nugget .
The staff is knowledgeable . You can bet without standing in a long line .
kiosk or an app you can use if you on location .

The sports book director does a great job of making sure all the TVs have all the games on.

Nice staff

Beau Rivage kinda a joke actually .

they charged $100 just to be in the building with the magregor fight even if you had 10x that on a bet .

Even during the day it was $10 an hr just to be in the sports book .

Im sure all of that changes once you build up M rewards or whatever they call it but still.

Use comman sense .
If someone has 5k worth of tickets in their hand don’t charge them $100 to watch a fight
