Notre Dame plays their last 5 games of the 2018 season in 5 different cities. There are no off weeks in between games. Starting on October 27th, the Irish will play Navy in San Diego CA. It is nice that the Navy will spend our tax dollars traveling across country for a "Home" game. Next the Irish go to Chicago (okay, Evanston Il, 13 miles North of Chicago) to play Northwestern in a game that probably should have been played in Chicago's Soldier Field. Next the Irish go home to get a chance of underwear and host Florida State. After that, it is off to the Big Apple to play Syracuse in the Bronx. Finally, it is back to the West Coast to play USC in Los Angeles. Talk about your frequent flier miles.

Kelly is just 3-10 ATS from November out the past 3 seasons.

There are a lot of mixed signals for the Irish. They are 11-0 in the second of back to back away games against .500 or better opponents, but 3-10 after the Navy game. They are also 0-5 as favorites of 6 1/2 point or more against the Big 10. All of that may fit the Northwestern game.

The Irish have historically been gluttons for punishment. Playing he last 5 games in different cities is not typical for most college teams but for Notre Dame, as an Independent, they would go anywhere and play anyone if it meant putting money into their treasury. Those "church schools" know how to bring in the dollars, especially on Saturdays.

Years ago, ND could recruit nationally better than all other schools.

Not so much anymore...young guys don't know the history of ND nor do they care.

Have you seen the FB facilities at ND compared to other top notch schools?

Think it out. If you were an 18 year old player with half a brain (that exculdes 50% of them) where would you want to play? A nice Sunny State like California or Florida which has great weather, good teams, and knockout ladies (I should know, I'm one of them. Went to USC where all the gorgeous gals in Southern California go to :103631605), other Southern States which live or die football, or the Midwest with terrible winter weather, "Healthy" ladies, and maybe 5 good teams in 8 States.

Calm down Pooh, many of these Kids you refer to have been to Disney World/Land before they were 16 years old (often more than once) so the wind-blown palm trees of Florida and Southern California has lost much of their allure to these modern day football gladiators. .

As far as "knockout" ladies are concerned, I was a student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin probably before your Mother was born and the women I had a chance to meet on campus knew how to handle themselves in "close-quarters" quite well.

By the way, I admire your writing skills and your apparent passion for college football.

Mack, I thank you for the kind words. My passion for College Football comes from my Dad, who'se ablility to wager successfully on College Football covered my tuition at USC, amongst many other things. He is a friend of Cloverleaf. He still plays a few games a year, but has basically retired from active wagering. He says that politics and greed have ruined the game for him. He and mom travel a lot these days.

As far as my post is concerned, I disagree with your statement that many of the kids have been to Disneyland/World. How many kids from the big city ghettos have been there? How many of today's recruits are kids from the ghetto? I seriously doubt that they have been to Disneyland/World. I also doubt that they care. What they may care about is how easy is it to score some weed or other drugs at a particular School. Obviously it would be a lot easier at schools that attempt to turn their heads to this type of behavior than schools that do not. Do you really think that Alabama holds it's student athletes to the same standard that Notre Dame does? I seriously doubt that.
