So I found the need to write a Dutching software program for Windows-pc. I will make this available for anyone when done.
I'm almost done but thought I'd ask if there's anything you'd like to see in a dutching/hedging calculator that I haven't covered. The reason I'm making this is I've come acrossed instances recently at Woodbine where I'm hedging 6-8 horses. Usually I handle this in my head on the fly, but at my age it seems like 6-8 horses gets my head spinning. This has happened twice in a week now. I will use it mostly for hedging but am making it as robust as I can without ability to parse tote info.
Features:
Ability to Dutch, Hedge, Profit lock, Return lock, Bet lock, mix all at the same time up to 9 horses
Dutching calculator, using fixed stake or profit margin
Shows tote odds as percent and dutch percent totals
No text inputs ... all mouse-click or touchscreen

Let me know if you have some other ideas you'd like to see.
Oh .... this is for American style horse-racing .... not punters style. lol

added a save settings function (see new pic)
I'm planning on making this standalone program ... no install required.

Completed!!

I did have to make an installation package though. Standalone version wasn't adequate.
Will likely make install/user instructions and include in the package.
Install is bundled in a zip file.
I have successfully installed and tested on Win98/Vista/XP/Win7/Win10 !!!

This is 100% freeware for all. Atleast for those with Windows platforms or emulator.

Will post when I have online download ready for public consumption.

I actually might make a YouTube video of the entire download/install/demo process to completely simplify everything.
That would not be right away though.

Today, I wrote an instructions file and included it in the bundled zip file, explaining installation and software.
Especially for those that don't know what a computer is doing during install and are paranoid of screwing something up.

Now I'm looking online for a host.

After spending over a day trying to find a free host .....

you can now download DutchCalc.zip at https://filehost.net/7d1e5adc30947baa

It's free but with time delay before download starts.
I did a download test and it was 100%. Best and least annoying host I've found.
Or message me your email and I will email the zip. Size is 2.17MB.

taken from instructions text file packaged with zip

- installation instructions -
1) download the DutchCalc.zip file to your hard drive.
(preferably to a folder you can easily locate)
2) extract the files from the zip.
(Generally, using windows explorer, you can right-click on the zip file and select extract all. Recommend allowing zip-extractor to create default folder for files to be placed.)
3) locate and run the Setup.exe file.
(this can be done thru Explorer or the Run command in the Start Menu)
4) Installation will begin ...
... User Account Control (if used) will prompt for permission to allow program to make changes.
... follow prompts.
... if DutchCalc installer message prompts any discrepancies then reply with 'continue' or 'ignore'.
... Common discrepancies are inability to read larger hard-drive sizes correctly and residing shared file compare. Selecting 'ignore' on the latter allows DutchCalc to pressume required file already on hard-drive is newer than bundled version, and not modify it.
... Installer will display a message when completed. Estimated total time of install: less than 30 seconds.
5) DutchCalc icon should now be present in your start menu.

Enjoy!
