the bracket has completely opened up for Spain and the loser of BEL/ENG to meet in semifinals as they avoid nearly all the other top 10 teams in the world who will be on the other side. World rankings in parentheses (from eloratings not that garbage fifa ranking)

That is crazy.

Man, I gotta tell ya, Argentina is done. They are incredibly lucky. With Messi you'll always have a shot at advancing, but they simply prolonged the heartbreak. France -pk- is a gift.

And Portugal is one of the worst teams in the Cup.... without Ronaldo. They really are trash. Without Ronaldo they get ZERO points in the first round. Uruguay has not been solid (despite their 3 wins vs. trash teams), but I expect them to get past Portugal.

bizarre to have Croatia 7.50 and England 7.00 on same side of the bracket when Croatia are already in the quarterfinals while England still have to play their R16 match (vs #11 Colombia) and then have to get through another top 20 team (either swiss 11th or sweden 17th) while Croatia face the lowest ranked team remaining in the tourney, Russia #44. That is horrible value for England in comparison to Croatia
