Police released sickening video of a man being sucker-punched and left unconscious with a fractured skull in the Bronx — before a group of people pick his pockets and the attacker returns to take pictures of his victim.

Two men are seen walking up to the 37-year-old victim shortly after 6 a.m. June 18 at Aqueduct Avenue and Buchanan Place in University Heights, where one of them punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground in the middle of the intersection, police said.

After the two men walk away, several other people gather around the victim and rummage through his pockets, removing his cellphone and identification.

The man who delivered the knockout blow then returns to take a cellphone picture of the man, who is still out cold.

Another camera nearby caught the brute walking away from the scene with the other suspect — both smiling and slapping each other’s hands as if in celebration of the attack.

The victim was listed in critical but stable condition at St. Barnabas Hospital, cops said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic in his 20s, with a medium complexion, medium build, black hair and a black, trimmed beard. He has tattoos on both his forearms.

He was last seen wearing a yellow baseball cap with a triangular logo, a white T-shirt, denim shorts and black sneakers with yellow trim.

The other suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20s, with a light complexion, a slim build, black hair and a black beard. He has a tattoo on his right forearm.

He was last seen wearing a light blue Yankees baseball hat, a light blue T-shirt and a yellow T-shirt, a black belt, camouflage cargo pants and black boots.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Police have arrested a thug suspected of knocking out a man with a sucker punch on a Bronx street corner — and then returning to take a souvenir cellphone photo of his still-prone victim, sources told The Post.

Luis Rivera, 22, of 1684 Banyer Ave. in the Bronx, has been charged with the assault, which has left the victim, a father of three who may not have even known his attacker, still unconscious and bleeding from the brain in a St. Barnabas Hospital bed.

A photo of victim Fernando Levano, 37, obtained by WABC/Channel 7, shows the dad fighting for his life in his hospital bed, with a pair of tubes helping him breathe and draining his brain hemorrhage.

Levano had been standing in the crosswalk at the corner of Aqueduct Avenue and Buchanan Place in the borough’s University Heights nabe just after sunrise last Monday when he suffered a roundhouse punch to the head.

Levano fell flat on his back, his head striking the pavement. Newly surfaced video provided by the NYPD shows the attack, and what shockingly happens next.

Three male passers-by pick his pockets, taking his cellphone and ID. Then the man in the yellow hat — who police now say is Rivera — returns and stands over his still-unconscious victim.

He appears in the video to take cellphone snaps or videos of his victim — first from the right side of the prone man. Then he walks around to the other side of the body to take a close-up of the man’s head.

Rivera was taken into custody Thursday by cops from the 46th Precinct.

The people who do this should have their arms cut off. That would be fair punishment
