What the hell is wrong with this team are they folding after 70 games this year rather than the traditional fall collapse

Went to the game last night. My observations.

1. Roark is terrible
2. Skipper seemed like he was clueless. Roark was getting shelled and he left him in to give up six more runs in the fifth.
3. Bottom of 6th Nats get leadoff jack from 8 hitter and Roark who has sucked and is up there in pitch count hits for himself and ks. Team and crowd seem to just give up at that point.
4. I don’t know how people live in this climate during the summer!

Nats will pick things up. They have been suffering some injuries, slumps and faced a couple really good teams for example Red Sox. They will go on a run this summer. They are still a very good team and Bryce Harper is a monster. Eaton came back and a couple others. This team will string together some wins.

I'm hitting Nationals runline hard on Friday. You guys should too. Maybe Indians also. We'll see Friday morning with the lineups.

They appear to have very little fight in them at times. Only scherzer is a guy out there who you can see gives his all. The manager is awful though. At 80+ games they don’t have time to get healthy and go through the lumps of getting into a groove.

Took Boston today for a -134 easy win. Fedde was pitching for Washington. He had to leave the game in the second inning due to stiffness in his right shoulder. He'll probably get a MRI.

Nats are 7 back.

Still time.

They should make up ground during the dog days

The OP has it right. The Nats suck and are way, way overrated.

The Red Sox have the best record in Baseball, yet they were +160, and +110 in the first two games of this series, and only -132 today. The Sox controlled all three games, start to finish.

The Nats should have been dogs in all three.

The public is bamboozled by the Nats star power. But they suck as a team. Bet against them. Value.

np starting a sports related thread i probably like most thought this team would run away and hide and make a joke of the division down 7 games in july is not the end of the world but as you said they just need a fire lit under them as once they fell behind today you just dont get the sense that the are coming back.

At home, down 0-7 to Miami in the third inning, a team 16 games below .500.

All the Fourth of July fireworks couldn't light a fire under this team's ass.

They need a 20 game series against the Pirates. That would fix everything

Take Nats, Red Sox, Astros on Friday. It's hip to be square on Friday.

Leave yourself a balance to double up on Nats tomorrow with they heavy juice if they lose today. Noway Nats lose back to back games today and tomorrow. Betting Nats tonight and will double if tomorrow if they lose.

Also betting Red Sox rl + Astros ml. BIG! lol.

Anyways, as I said, Nats will go on a big run and I think now is the time facing a weak opponent. What better time than after that fantastic come back last night?! Nats backers must be overjoyed and thrilled if they watch their games to the bitter end like me, hoping for a miracle.

Jump on the Nats train at least for the next few games.
