It’s finally here, my second most favorite meet of the year. First is Oaklawn. I’ll be playing 5 races today

5-Out of Patience Kristin Mulhill gets the first win of the meet, this 7 yo gelding is 5-1-1-2 at DMR & 23-6-4-4 at the distance ~ Kristin is 24% first off the claim & 33% dropping off the claim ~ will be sitting just off the pace
1-Carville won last race very impressively but was over the AW surface ~ is 9-5-2-1 at the distance ~ will be sent from the rail

Race 3: 7 $400WP $200 Quinella: 7/2 7/5 $200DD: 2,7/5,10,11

7-Eighty Three 14-4-2-7 at the distance ~ Hollendorfer is 29% off claim repeaters ~ blinkers were added in the last race and won going away posting a 91 bris speed figure
2-Ketos has been on the bench last 60 days ~ first time with Jacobson he’s striking at 18% with this move ~ has posted two straight 92 bris speed figures ~ 3-1-0-1 at DMR is 7-0-3-1 at the distance

5-Flying to the Line ran very well first time out & just missed at 7.90/1 ~ Miller/Figueroa is 6-2-0-0 over last 14 days ~ posted a 74 bris speed figure
10-Dichotomy was solidly bet in her first start 2.60/1 ~ my top choice beat her by a neck ~ posted a 71 speed figure
11-Opus One Dam has 2 winners from 2 starters 1 a stakes winner ~ last work let’s me know she’s ready to run

Race 7: 4 $400WP $200 Quinella: 4/3 4/5 $200DD: 3,4/5,9

4-Vangogo Luis Mendez last 14 days 3-2-1-0 and wins with debut MSW 25% with 100% ITM with 4 starts ~ Dam has 7 winners from 8 starters ~ last two works says this gal is a very quick one
3-Barbadolla Dam has 2 winners from 2 starters & 1 stakes winner ~ Phil D’Amato 2/2 last 14 days ~ Maldonado 29% win rate & 86% ITM with D’Amato last 60 days
5-Palm D’ Oro Violence as a sire is 21% with first time starters ~ Trainer Art Sherman doesn’t excel with first time runners 6% exepect a good performance today

Race 8: 5 $600WP $200 Quinella: 5/9 5/11 5/2

5-Desert Stone comes into this race winner of 2 in a row ~ improved bris speed number from 82 to 87 ~been on the bench last 47 days ~ can get a great stalking trip & power away as they turn for home
9-Move Over John Sadler wins at 19% with non graded stakes ~ been on the bench for 62 days ~ consistent bris speed numbers 85-88-88

GL Bhp, didn't you even consider betting less than usual for the first few days? One needs to check things out for a week or so, IMO.

Yeah BHP. Have to agree with this sentiment. Really think if you lowered your roll you would get better results. Just saying. GL.

Like you said, it’s good fade material so just here looking for the throw outs in my pick 4 plays lol. I wish he was doing the Spa instead but take what I can. Good luck to you today.

OK. Wabash. Yeah BHP has proven to be fade material overall. Maybe this meet will be different. Who knows? Anyway GL to you as well.

he figured it out on his 8th try to break his maiden posting a career best 83 bris speed figure ~ Jeff Bonde is 19% with MDN last race winners ~ Fuentes is 20% win rate & 60% ITM riding for Bonde

Race 6:
2-Majestic Eagle $400 WP $200 Quinella: 2/4 $200DD: 2,4/3
5-1-4-0 on the turf ~ posted a career best 92 bris speed figure in his last race running a very game 2nd in his first time against winners
4-Andesh is the “wild card” in this race & the board will tell you how he’s going to run in his first start in the US ~ has 2 races on the turf finishing second both times ~ first time with lasix

Race 8: 2-Venue $400 WP $200 Quinella: 2/12 2/6
adding blinkers for the first time McCarthy is 11% with this move ~ this is only her 3rd lifetime race ~ she will sit just off the pace & motor on by as they turn for home

comes into the race off a 54 day refreshing Baltas is 19% with this move ~ Pratt 31% with Baltas last 60 days 62% in the money ~ +E/P8 running style


race 6: 8-Twisted Plot $600 WP
outran his odds in first start (58.60/1) ran a very game 2nd ~ Art Sherman isn’t strong with second time starters only 10% ~ has 3 works since his race ~ takes them gate to wire


race 7: 4-Pantsonfire $400 WP $200 Quinella: 4/12
coming into the race off a 47 day refreshing Baltas is 19% with this move ~ 3-0-2-0 at DMR ~ 5-2-0-3 this year 12-3-2-4 on the turf

Made first mistake of the meet in the 7th race, liked both the 4 & 12 thus my 4/12 Quinella ~ 4 ran awful & 12 took them wire to wire paying $15.40

1-Catalina Cruiser $200 WP $200 Quinella: 1/7 $200 Pick three: 1,7/1,2,8/10
this lightly raced 4yr old gets the “acid test” today ~ he’s 2/2 both wins at 6F & won each comfortably ~ his bris speed numbers are very impressive 95 & 106 ~ first time going a route Sadler is 17% with this move
7-Accelerate by far & away the class of this field ~ hasn’t been seen since winning the G1 Gold Cup 5/26/18 at SA ~ he posted a 111 bris speed figure ~ 5-3-0-1 at DMR only 5-1-2-2 at the distance

Race 8: G2 San Clemente Stakes
2-Ms Bad Behavior $400 WP
1/1 at the distance posting a 91 bris speed figure ~ Baltas is 16% with 90+ days off ~ 4-2-2-0 this year

8-Magnificent McCool a $625K son of Giants Causeway purchased at OBSAPR ~ Dam has 2 winners from 3 starters

4-2-0-1 at DMR ~ has 3 races this year all been good won the G1 Kilroe at SA ~ will have a very good pace to run into ~ been on the bench for 55 days been working very well for return
