Trump meets Putin, good or bad? Rhetorical question, of course it's good. Dialogue is always better than a hissy fit, especially on the world stage

So Trump wants to work with Putin. We can use his assistance with ISIS, Iran, maybe even North Korea. We want a nuclear arms deal (not that important to me, but it is to some) Maybe he can even gain concessions on stopping all the meddling (which has been a two sided affair for 75 years, but let's pretend otherwise). Of course China will still be out there too, but I digress.

Bottom line, you want to work with the man for the betterment of both countries and even the world. So what's to be gained by calling out Putin? How would calling Putin a liar advance your cause? If Trumped caved and gave the fucking idiots the stupid shit they're looking for, I would be disappointed. Furthermore, if he did call Putin a liar, the fucking scumbag left would be saying he's stupid to piss off Putin when he's trying to negotiate with him. They have one purpose, and one purpose only, to occupy the minds of really stupid people.

Adults are in charge, go scream at the sky or lick toilets or break your neighbor's window, whatever you choose, just know that you're just a fucking idiot and I'm laughing at you

Here ya go, BZ. Was going to type something similar in your thread but Willie pretty much covered it.

Did the Russians change any votes in the 2016 election? Nope. So why do you want Putin isolation? Or maybe you want to piss him off and start a pissing contest between two of the most powerful countries in the world. Or maybe you want all those nuclear weapons both countries have to be focused.

Trump doesn't want any of that crap. But Trump wants to be able to talk about significant things with Putin. Like Syria. Like the remnants of ISIS. Like North Korea. Like Iran. Like the natural gas pipeline going from Russia directly to Germany. Like nuclear disarmament. Like convincing Putin to stop his imperialist ways at Georgia and Crimea. God knows what else our President wants to focus on that we are not even aware of.

You think those issues are more important than a punch in the face and a discourse shutdown over something that had absolutely no bearing on our election? This crap has been going on between world powers in one form or another for decades. We're guilty too. Your boy Obama sent money and operatives to Israel to interfere with their election. Whoopy doo.

President Trump sees the big picture while his critics are lucky to find a bathroom when they need to take a shit. Yes that includes Republican turds.

The Trump resume may put him at the top of all world negotiators. And you think he's gonna conform to some bullshit standards defined by clueless pundits and politicians. Not.

FWIW. That handshake (upper hand Putin) is supposed to show superiority.
I'm sure Trump knows that but he let him do it anyway.

That meeting was an opening salvo of which I hope will be many. If there
are to be further negotiations between the two men I'm glad Trump is
negotiating for us.

Wait a minute, Putin told Trump there is no meddling going on and Trump believes him. I think that’s what most people are upset about. You say there is and always has been meddling, which is it?

I rather a President throw politics aside and get peace, then to throw peace aside because of politics.

I can't speak for anyone who believes that this meeting was a bad idea but I can certainly see the majority viewpoint that undermining our intelligence findings by saying that Putin told me there was no meddling is a very poor message.

for the most part Putin is garbage but he's powerful garbage and if history has taught us anything it's to keep an open dialogue with these types and not to just isolate and point fingers. I like that donald decided to take this head-on but he's confusing the shit out of me with his narrative of the Russian intelligence findings. First he accepts that the Russians absolutely had their intelligence officers looking into Democrats, including Hillary, and called out Obama for not taking this seriously under his watch. Then he comes out yesterday and declares he believes Putin's claim that absolutely nothing happened over his own intelligence agency's findings that the Russians were looking into DNC and Hillary emails. The Russians clearly expected Hillamonster to win the election which is why they were looking into her stuff but Trump's losing control over his own narrative on this issue

Some people are upset that Trump would meet with Russian and North Korean leaders because it legitimizes their positions but these are two of the very few nuclear nations in the world so they were already pretty legit (IMHO).

depends on where the shake started. Superiority is shown if you start at an "even" position and roll your wrist/hand to a dominant "top" position but if the shake started like the pic then the interpretation is neutral. If Putin rolls into that position then that's not so good....

I worked for CTG at Kennametal for awhile. The guy at CTG was a black man and
for the life of me I can't remember his name but he always shook your hand that
way. I called the HNIC.

I know you're in that business and I'll bet you've crossed paths with him.

Do you remember what his name is?

Lol, he obviously did at the time since he didn’t tell Putin to stop meddling. Wasn’t that the reason for the meeting, so Trump could address Putin directly on certain issues? This is Donald Trump, the guy who doesn’t take shit from anyone right? But your saying Putin lied to his face and he did nothing? I voted for Trump and think he has actually done a lot of good things but when he starts talking too much he gets himself in trouble. Yesterday, he hurt himself with his actions, there is no doubt about that. But guys like you and the rest of the Rx republicans will never admit that. That’s what sheep do.

again you're assuming something you have no idea about.. Just because he doesn't tell Putin to stop it in public , doesn't mean he believes him.. a classic spin by you...His pressor just now confirms it.. Just read and learn. don't post.. not a good look for you

I’m not assuming anything. Trump looked like a child against a man yesterday. Putin lied to his face, we know that for a fact and Trump did nothing!! Why didn’t he challenge Putin and tell him to stop meddling? If he had, he would be a fucking hero today to most but instead he backed off and looked weak in most people’s eyes. Yesterday was NOT a good day for him. That’s the truth and even many Republicans have said it. You and the rest here are sheep so you will never admit he does anything wrong.

Gary Powers wasn’t the only one. More than 200 airmen were shot down while spying on the Soviet Union.
